If they have that many linemen that are unable to play then they may be trying to recruit some fat guys to play for them in that game.  Anyone interested?  Anyone?

Not anymore.

He wasn't talking to you, SLIM!

Hey, just because you're taller than me..............

Whoever, whatever. Let's just kick it off. I believe that our d-line and linebackers are going to do a MUCH better job (regardless of who we are playing) of limiting the time the QB has to get rid of the ball. There has been much made of our weak secondary, but it's really the effectiveness of the pass rush that determines whether the safeties and corners have to choose between guarding against getting burned on a double move or going all out to stop the short pass. If the quarter back is lying underneath Reggie Ragland at the 2.3 second mark, all a double move will produce is exhausted receivers running down the field for nothing. Improved effectiveness on the short passes will improve our ability to get off the field on third down. The beasts get to rest, then wash, rinse, and repeat. I am stoked to see much improved rush and containment this year. Release the krakens!

Chryst reports on Wisky players' status.

Quote
Senior wide receiver Tanner McAvoy was the latest player to be sidelined by an injury.

While talking to boosters, Chryst acknowledged that McAvoy, who also is expected to see playing time at safety, slowed down during practice but remained until the end of the workout.

"Tanner did kind of tweak something," Chryst said. "We've got a couple of days and we'll be smart with him."

They're a banged up team, it would appear, unless they are trolling us. If McAvoy is hurt, that would be a huge blow to them.

Call me cynical, but this may be a strategy we might call the "Buckeye BooHoo": "Yes, we had an early loss to VT/Bama, but we were banged up. We are a completely different team now".
