I have made several enhancements to the way the blog works.  You no longer have to move the post to the Community Blog forum in order for it to show up on the front page blog.  Also, the blog post no longer has to be the first post in the topic.  Any post in any forum can be published to the blog.  This should make things much simpler and seamless for everyone who reads the forum.

Since we no longer need the Community Blog forum, I have moved all of the topics back to their original locations.  I will be deleting the Community Blog board momentarily.  In the future we will have dedicated blog boards, but we don't need one just for promoting topics in the forum.

It is very simple for a mod to publish any forum post on the blog now.  I would encourage the mods to publish any posts that are particularly interesting or popular to the blog.  Mods should see a blog button on each post over on the right side of the post title area where the other buttons are, such as Quote.  All you have to do is press the Blog button and it will take you to a page where you can enter the title of the article.  It will default to the subject of the post, but you can change it if you need to clarify it for the front page.  The blog title is stored separately from the post title, so it will not change the post.

Now, let's mine the forum for the good stuff and put it on the front page.  That should get lots of people coming here to at least read the front page.  I would like to see us publishing at least 5 or 10 blog posts each day.
