DeMeco Ryans too tough for Philadelphia Eagles to cut

The Philadelphia Eagles had every opportunity to release linebacker DeMeco Ryans this offseason. The former Alabama All-American missed half of last season with the second ruptured Achilles tendon of his NFL career, and as the 30-year-old rehabbed from the injury, the Eagles traded for his younger, cheaper replacement at inside linebacker.
