Solo shot by Chauncey Bell! 5-0 Bama.  Applause E-Cred

Would have had at least a couple more runs if not for 2 great plays by Auburn's right fielder.

Good game by Bama. Alexis Osorio pitched a great game. A complete game shutout giving up 5 hits and striking out 13.

Always nice to beat the barn.

The Alabama girls opened up a can whoop azz on the barn in Game 2. Bama won 13-3. Alexis Osorio pitched another complete game today. She game up 3 runs (only 1 earned) on 5 hits and struck out 4.

Bama led 7-3 going into the top of the 7th when Alabama busted loose for 6 runs. Bama scored 13 runs with 14 hits.

Bama wins the game and the series. We go for the sweep at 5:00 today. The game will be shown on ESPNU.

Auburn softball completes marathon comeback to avoid sweep by Alabama, stay ahead in SEC race
Backs against the wall for the first time in a breakthrough season for the program, Auburn dug deep, battled back from five-run deficits twice and a two-run deficit in extra innings to beat the Crimson Tide 13-12 in a four-hour marathon.

Bama takes the series!

Got home just in time to see the bottom of the 8th. Still don't think the ball hit down the 3rd base line was a fair ball.

Bama won the series and that is good but they gave Game 3 away. We led 5-0 after the first at bat. We led 10-5 after the top of the 6th. We led 12-10 after the top of the 8th. The winning run scored from 2nd on a throwing error on a double play attempt that had no change to get the runner at first and the ball went into the dugout.

Overall it was a series for Alabama.
