Blake Sims disproved fans, 'most of our players' who doubted QB skills, Nick Saban says

"I've been really surprised, in a good way, with the way Blake Sims has played," Saban said on his Thursday night radio show. "The confidence that he's gained and the way he's played. The leader that he's become and how he's affected his teammates and how they trust and believe in him."

"There was a time around here where I know none of our fans and most of our players probably didn't think Blake could be the quarterback, so he's disproved a lot of people in terms of the way he's played," Saban said. "He's got a lot of challenges ahead of him, playing against better people, but he's certainly done everything that you could ask any player to do to represent his position and the leadership of his position as well as anybody really could."

I think everyone who watched the spring games of recent years is surprised, in a good way.  We're all just hoping he doesn't revert to lunkhead player.

In truth, we need to give Sims a break.  He's looked better in every game so far than Marshall did last night.
QBs have off nights, and NM did last night.  AJ had several his junior year; Sims will have one.
Let's just pray that our other players can take up the slack!  Lots of pressure on our Mr. Sims.

Blake runs an offense that CLK builds. CNS has the last say but we have an O-coordinator that knows what he is doing. He would have went after another score if CNS hadn't called off the dogs. Blake is Tha Man and he will be the rest of the year. He has already proved the naysayers Wrong! RTR!
