"We're going to play Blake and we'll always evaluate and see how it goes," coach Nick Saban said. "We have a lot of confidence in Jake. If we need to play Jake, we'll certainly have no problems putting him in there and allowing him to play."

"If you think you're going to trick them by putting a bunch of new plays in that your players aren't capable of executing  because you didn't practice enough, you're probably not going to do it very well," Saban said. "It's sort of a combination of yeah, let's do a couple of new things that we can practice and rep and get guys good at as well as continue to do the things that we do well, that the players have confidence in and everybody knows how and understands how to block and execute against whatever the other team does."

Sounds like we'll see a lot of WR screens.

I personally do not see any competition anymore. Blake is the starter this year and Jacob is a great one to have for backup. When someone has the support of the players around him and one not so much, there is not competition. I just pray Blake goes undefeated this year. RTR!
