Thanks, 57.

Quote
Florida State interim president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox suspended the No. 1 Seminoles' star quarterback for the first half of Saturday's game against No. 22 Clemson in a joint statement Wednesday. They denounced Winston's behavior, calling it "offensive and vulgar."

Fisher's name was not on the statement, which raised eyebrows and questions as to whether this was a decision that came down from the administration rather than Fisher.

"They're always involved in university policies," Fisher said. "That's things at Florida State, the way we do it."

Doesn't sound like Jimbo knew 'that's the way we do it'.

I wonder if say at halftime Florida State is up by say 8 points. Does Jimbo put  JW in or leave the backup in?

Sophomore Sean Maguire is set to start for the Seminoles against Clemson. What if Maguire has the FSU offense moving in the first half? Is there a possibility Winston could remain on the bench in the second half?

“That’s a decision. It really is,” Fisher said. “Jameis is still your guy, but we’ll have to see the flow of the game and what does on. I’ve thought of that, hypothetically, a bunch of times. I really have. It’s got to be a feel, a game-time decision, what’s going on. I will have that discussion with those guys before the game, because I think it’s unfair to both of them to surprise them. That’s one thing, as a coach, you have to do, because that’s when relationships become broken. I’ll tell you this: If we’re winning big, and Jameis thought that was the best way for us to win the game, as much as he’d want to play, he wouldn’t have one problem with it. I truly believe that.”

After hearing that the administration suspended Jameis, not Jimbo, I'm guessing JW sits the 2nd half if they're ahead.

she nails it in this video
ESPN's Samantha Ponder understands that the spotlight is on Jameis Winston. But she doesn't believe it should be this difficult for the Florida State quarterback to do the right thing and stay out of trouble.

Jameis Winston, who has been suspended for Florida State's game against Clemson, showed up before the game in full pads and started to warm up with his teammates before being sent back to the locker room by head coach Jimbo Fisher.

Winston was originally suspended from just the first half of the game for yelling a profanity-laced statement in front of fellow students on campus. That suspension was later increased to the full game when the school reportedly learned that Winston lied about the full nature of what had happened.

Despite the suspension, Winston appeared to be going through all of his normal pre-game routine, dressed in full pads.

Winston did this "after apparently being told he would not be allowed to dress for the game," according to ESPN's Chris Fowler. Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, seemingly quite exasperated, sent Winston back to the locker room to change.
