Throughout the preseason, Saban lauded Drake for his speed and pass-catching ability. Drake, who was Yeldon's backup in 2013, caught 12 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown last season but was anticipated to see those numbers grow in Lane Kiffin's offense, which thrives on the team's top playmakers getting the ball in space.

"He's really a scat back kind of guy," sophomore tight end O.J. Howard said in August. "He's really quick. He can make you miss with one move. He gets you in open space, it's hard to bring him down." ...

I still wonder if we'll run the read option w/ Blake and Drake. They ran it so much in practice squads and in clean up that they got pretty good at it. That might be one of the secrets Cheech was talking about.

In past years I might have agreed. I think we have so much work to do this year we do not have the luxury of being coy. CNS might instead go the opposite direction: Show everyone so much that they won't know how to prepare: Show Coker slinging, Drake and Sims in the wildcat, every imaginable screen variation, Fowler catching the ball out of the backfield, etc.
