Safety Jarrick Williams recently said the defense runs especially smooth with an experienced player like DePriest is on the field.

"Yeah, when he's out there, he's a guy that can fill the holes and you'll know he's out there, because he's out there making calls left and right, motions and all that." Williams said. "So he's really a loud guy."

Against West Virginia, Saban said he expects to be in the nickel or dime coverage 70 or 80 percent of the time...

Wow, 70-80% of the time?  That's a surprise.

Would this be his plan of attack on the HUNH?

It's a type of HUNH.  Here's a description:

Quote
Under head coach Dana Holgorsen, the Mountaineers employ the "Air Raid" offense.   As Chris Brown (football writer) puts it, Holgorsen's offensive plan is to "put speed in space in a way that could allow any quarterback to succeed".  The Mountaineers rely on simplicity and repetition to make the offense second nature for its players...

Trickett's quick throws will put a lot of pressure on the young Alabama cornerbacks and force them to make plays or get beat down the field.  Trickett's ability to make solid reads and throws against a tough Alabama defense will be the difference in West Virginia keeping it close or getting blown out...

I see them scoring some points, but they won't come easy. WVU has never played a defense like Bama's before. What has come second nature to their offense through repetition, won't be evident on Saturday, I don't think. We should have a much improved pass rush to disrupt the tempo in which they like to operate. I see Trickett running for his life quite often.

Wow, 70-80% of the time?  That's a surprise.

It will look very much like the gus bus, but with more reliance on the WR position than RB.

The defense will get an early test.

Other than the obvious missed assignments and lost opportunities from last year's IB the game was lost on physics.  Less mass requires less energy.

awbarn's little guys were able to out last BAMA's heavier guys.  awbarn's D was run very much like their O.  Lots of subs in and out, fast and agile players staying fresh.  Some of that advantage was due to BAMA's limited depth, but physics is physics.
