I'm back :)

Hi everyone

I haven't been around much at all for the last few months I know but I've thought about you all often.
As some of you know, my mom was diagnosed in 2004 with Small Cell Lung Cancer. She went through a clinical trial and lived. The week of her 5 year cancer free milestone, in 2010, they found a NEW Small Cell Lung Cancer. She went through treatment and survived. Her lungs were very damaged and last year she had to have a small lung surgery that was supposed to help her breathe better. It was not a success. She started going really downhill in April but we all remained optimistic. My Mom was a Christian and was ready to go home. We were not ready at all. However, God finally decided he needed her more than we did on July 11, 2014.
Mama had a rough 20 years. She lost her oldest son, her baby son (not a baby but HER baby!), plus her parents.  I did not want God to take her but I knew that she would no longer be in pain and would be walking and talking and not worrying about breathing.

That's been why life has been so busy and complicated and why I haven't been around.  Mama was one of the biggest Alabama fans I've ever known. And she would approve of me getting back into the football spirit again.

This has always been a great group and I tried to get her to come join. However, her computer skills were VERY lacking and she wouldn't do it.

If you are still lucky enough to have your parents, hug them often and let them know you love them. They can leave way too early.

My special prayers to you and your family, Terri.  Life can be so happy one moment and terribly sad the next.  I've lost both my parents.  Time does not really heal the losses, but we can celebrate their lives and take comfort in those wonderful memories of our times together. 

Glad to have you back for one of those happy times coming up, when Bama takes the field.

  Terrie our sister we love you and family. Praying with you daily because you know where she went. You are SO right, that those who have parents should hug them.
I want you to know I am nothing but an ear and shoulder so anytime.
Alabama is really looking good so far. They having a lot of fun during camp it seems to me. You know when they are having fun, what comes next.  I hope you have acquired the new SEC Network it is great. So glad your back.  , RTR!

Very sorry for the loss of your mother, Terrie. I'm glad she no longer suffers. Both of my parents have been gone for years, but I still miss them. The pain will weaken, but the good memories will strengthen. Prayers to you and your family.

I lost my mom February 27, 2013 and it still hurts badly today.  I truly mean it when I say that I am sorry for your loss.  Welcome back.
