I think it will be senior Blake Sims who gets the nod in a game that will see both quarterbacks work with the first-team offense.

Sims struggled at A-Day but he performed well throughout Alabama's previous 14 spring practices. If he maintains that sort of performance level, he'll at least merit a look when the bright lights shine on the Crimson Tide inside the Georgia Dome. His biggest advantage over Coker is his experience within Alabama's offense and with the team's receivers, all of whom regularly praise the fifth-year senior. Coker's had a couple of months to catch up in 7-on-7s, but the next four weeks will truly be a crash course. It will be enough time to know Coker is probably Alabama's best option to return to glory in 2014, but it won't be enough to leave Sims on the sidelines against West Virginia...

Unless Coker is injured, it's likely to be Coker who starts.  No way Kiffin wants to begin his coaching with a 2nd stringer.

I agree.  I don't think Coker would be on the team if the coaches thought Sims could get the job done.  If Sims is the starter Coker's a distraction.

I would be very surprised if Coker didn't start. It may be a crash course that he's working on, but he needs to know the system and gain the needed experience before we play UF. Kiffin isn't going to slow play Coker until he gets up to speed. It's going to be OTJ training all the way, I would think.

Blake Sims seems to lose it in game situations.  I don't care how he looks in practice, he usually looks awful in games.  Coker has some accuracy issues, though, hopefully he has improved on that.  But until Coker comes into a game and makes an impact, I'm not sold on him either.
