Yeah, they had to hold on after jumping out to a 4-0 lead. Kudos to Vandy. C'mon Ole Miss, who has the daunting task of playing Virginia.

Congrats to Vandy, it was a good win for them even if it had not been the CWS. I think they like beating up on Louisville

Ole miss pulled out a biggie today with a run in the bottom of the 9th to eliminate Texas Tech 2-1. Their next game will be against the winner of tonight's game between Virginia and TCU and that one is tied in the 5th inning 2-2. We just might see an SEC in the championship  after all considering the bad results in the Super Regionals.

Vandy and Ole Miss are on separate sides of the bracket so they could play for the championship. Vandy is sitting pretty in the winners bracket and do not play again until Friday. Ole Miss must play the loser of the TCU/Virginia game tomorrow. It is a much tougher road for Ole Miss.

I watched the 9th inning of that game with my wife in the hospital.  I walked into her room for a visit, and she started yelling at the TV, which was to my back.  Apparently Ole Miss was about to blow their 1-0 lead in the top of the 9th (which they did), letting the TT player steal third.  But then aggressive base running and a chip shot in the bottom of the 9th gave Ole Miss the win.

My wife asked, "How many women in the hospital do you think you could walk into their rooms and they're watching ESPN?"  I told her that she had to be the only one.

You are a lucky man to have a wife that enjoys sports as much as you, I have one too. Wink
I hope everything is okay with her health and I'll put her on my prayer list and you can give her a big hug for me.

Thanks Jamos. She's been in the hospital since 2 a.m. early Friday morning, emergency appendectomy.  She's doing better now, should be released tomorrow or Friday.

I don't think she likes sports enough to be watching this (non-SEC) Texas v. UC Irvine game --Texas just won 1-0.

Ole Miss and TCU are locked up in a good game, the Rebs are leading 5-4 in the top of the 7th. C'mon Rebs, we want an all SEC championship series.

The pitcher currently pitching for TCU is almost unhittable. He has great movement on every pitch. I hope Ole Miss can keep them from scoring, because I don't think they will get anymore off this guy.

Ole Miss beats TCU, 6-4,
with a nice insurance run on two outs in the top of the 9th

Four teams left:

Vandy 2-0 v.  Texas 2-1

and

Virginia 2-0 v. Ole Miss 2-1
