Maybe this will stop all the Kirby Smart to UGA rumors. Pruitt had one good year at FSU with a lot of inherited talent. It may not be as easy at Georgia and the SEC.

Mark Richt found his man.
Jeremy Pruitt, defensive coordinator for Florida State during its national championship run this past season, is expected to accept the same position at Georgia, multiple sources told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Pruitt, 39, was said to be in Athens Tuesday, where he met with Richt and other members of Georgia’s staff.

Lateral move to go back into the SEC.  I wonder how much they're paying him.  This off-season has been quite interesting so far.

It is amazing to me how fast Jeremy Pruitt has gone from high school assistant to his second job as DC for a major program.

In 2009 he was an assistant coach at Hoover High School. He applied and was going to get the head coach job at Austin High School in Decatur. Before he ever took the Austin job CNS hired him to take an off the field job with Alabama.

He coached at Alabama for three years before moving on to FSU and now to UGA. Contrast that to another Hoover assistant in 2009. When Pruitt withdrew his name as a candidate for the Austin job he recommended fellow Hoover assistant coach Jeremy Perkins. Perkins interviewed and was hired to start the 2010 season. He is still Austin's head coach and teaches History. Chances are if CNS had not hired him he would still be at Austin today.

Don't get this.  Surely FSU could have matched the $$$.  Just won an NC at FSU.  Poised to be a contender for years.  Why leave now??  Is SEC that alluring?

Oh well...let's see if he can put together a UGA  D that stops the Barn.  That would be nice.

Does he take Sunseri to UGA with him? I imagine Coach Sal had a lot to do with that FSU defense.

Could CNS prevent him from transferring to another conference school, or can he do what he wants now that he has graduated?

He has graduated, so I think he can do what he wants. Here's hoping CNS can talk some sense into him.

My question was does he take Coach Sal Sunseri with him to UGA? Not Vinnie Sunseri the player.

If Pruitt were to do what he did at Bama and then at FSU, he might just have a national championship ring from more schools than does Coach Saban... Applause E-Cred
