A belated good Sunday morning. Been taking it easy with Mrs 2. We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary today. For those of you who know me. I know what you're thinking: "How in the world has she put up with him all these years?"

My special congrats to 2 and Mrs. 2. Just shows you were made for each other. I often think about how lucky it was that I met my wife. I know you feel the same, 2.

OT, I have met and spent some time with both 2 and Mrs. 2.  I'm afraid you misspelled "...deserve each other."

Naw, they are both really good folks and a joy to be around.  I do hope they get to enjoy another 40 years together...

So I guess my travel day got snakebit.  We left Kauai last night at 8:05 p.m. Hawaii time (1:05 a.m. Central time) and flew through the night until we landed in Denver this morning around 6:50 a.m. Mountain time.  My next flight was to leave for Houston at 7:50 but after everyone was boarded the crew announced that they didn't have a pilot.  No, I didn't volunteer to fly the plane... So they had us to deplane until they could arrange a pilot.  After a little while they told us we would fly at 9:15 so we went and boarded the plane again.  I asked while walking on the plane if the pilot was there yet.  No, he was enroute.  So we all got seated and a short time later the pilot come over the intercom apologizing for the delay.  He had to do some checks but after about 30 minutes we were pushed back from the gate.  We taxied out to the runway and stopped.  We sat there.  And sat there. And sat there until the pilot finally announced that he got a "message status" that he would need to check.  He then came back and said there was an issue with the fuel pump filter and that he needed to restart the left engine to clear the message.  Didn't work.  So flight control had him go back to the gate so a mechanic could check it out.  We then taxied back toward the gates but stopped short of any of them.  The pilot told us that since we were in a Boeing 757 we would have to wait until a gate that could handle a plane that size opened up.  About 30 more minutes goes by and we finally pull up to a gate and deplane again.  The airline did provide snacks and bottled water for us and eventually gave each traveler a $10 food voucher good for any vendor in the airport. In case you haven't flown in the last few years, $10 is about enough to purchase a large bottle of water.

I finally got to talk with  a gate agent and she booked me on a direct flight from Denver to Huntsville.  But it doesn't fly until 6:45 and arrives in Huntsville at 10:30 p.m.  This is my first time to have any issues flying like this.  Hope it doesn't become the normal...

What stress and misery that must have been, NALT.  Hope the movie was okay.

The rain missed us.  It rained to the east and south of us yesterday, but none here.  DRY.

Sounds like travel still sucks.

I'm wrestling with a plumbing issue.  Had a drip leak behind a toilet, replaced a line, and now a new issue inside the toilet.  Hate this kind of nonsense.  Amazing what stupid designs are used for toilet fixtures!  Toilet repairs are more complex than my computer.

Sorry for your troubles, Chech.

NALT, must be something about the Denver airport. About 10 years ago, I went on my golf trip to Myrtle Beach. After it was over, I flew out of Charlotte to meet my wife in san Francisco. She was flying from P'cola to Denver, then from Denver to SFO. Long story short, she spent the night in the Denver airport and flew out at about 6:30 the next morning. I'm guessing the Denver airport doesn't have a great track record.

Yeah, not sure what is going on in Denver.  On the 18th Mrs. Nalt and the boys flew home and went the same route I took.  In Denver their flight got delayed for a couple or three hours.  She was sure they missed their Huntsville connection but fortunately that connection was also delayed so they made it home just fine.  Me, not so much... But I did finally get here 28.5 hours after I checked out of my hotel...

Plumbing problems tend to be problematic.  Fix one and another issue develops.  Fix that and another.  Sometimes it seems they never end.  Just one example of how much better folks had things 100+ years ago... I mean, how many times did you hear about someone having leaking plumbing in the outhouse?
