Hey Doc.  Come on over to Lowe Mill tonight to hear Runt.  Starts around 6 p.m. and he is only singing about 5 songs...

Makes me want to hop in my new truck for a road trip to see Runt perform. 

Wait until next Friday, the 18th.  He is going to be doing a roughly 30 minute set as the entertainment for a local Baptist church's chili fund raiser.  Love to have you.

Good morning. 

Well, winter has arrived.  It's not exactly a frozen landscape out there in Chech Woods, but it is cold: maybe 45.  Last night we went out to eat, and when we walked back to the car in the windy drizzle it felt like winter.  Nice for sleeping, though.

Big GAME DAY today.  Lots of good games on TV. 

Hope the team plays well.  We'll miss having Chris Owens at center.  And A&M is healthy for the first time this year, so expect a good contest from them.

Yep, lot's of good ones today. SportsCenter is singing Jalen's praises right now. I expect Tejas to give him a tough time. I hope he beats them..... by less than 10 1/2.

Good morning folks. I'm not mowing today. Mrs. Nalt was talking about us going over to Decatur for something.  She's going to have to wake up first though...

Last night Runt got to sing 5 Elvis songs at Lowe Mill's Concerts on the Dock.  Hopefully this video will post correctly.

He is doing pretty good now that his medicine has taken full effect. Thankfully.  It is just very expensive.  The last infusion he had had a price tag of $14K+.  Fortunately we registered with a program that Remicade has to help pay the cost.

Remicade is indeed, very expensive. Glad they are giving you help with that.

No, 2, you may not be the totem holder.  Someone (at least one) got only two correct picks.  I think I had 4.  And I think Ricky had 6, which might be the winner.

Safe travels in the new truck, my friend.  My car is only 2 years old, but I've got nearly 70k on it.  Maybe I'll start looking for a repaclement.

Any word yet on what time the Arky game will start?

A quick (true) story.

We have a neighbor cat that hangs out on our back porch for food.  Friday night I heard rain outside and decided to feed the outside cat and watch the rain.  I put some cat food on a table we have on our back porch and walked to the edge of of the porch.  It was pitch dark because of the rain and I didn't have the porch light on.  While I was standing I heard the cat crunching food behind me and I backed up and petted the cat which was on the table eating.  I noticed two things, the cat was wet and its fur was much too course, and the cat was rubbing against my leg!!!    I snatched my hand away, turned on the porch light and saw a possum jump from the table and stand next to the cat starring at me.  The possum seemed not to be afraid of me in the least and also seemed to have made friends with the cat.  Talk about time slowing down.  It seemed to take forever for my brain to process the fact that I couldn't be petting the cat, and God only knew what I had my right hand on.

I've stopped feeding the possum in hopes he will stop visiting.
