We had a rainy afternoon and then more rain late last night. Looks like we might get side-skirted one more time before it's all said and done. I'm supposed to play golf at 9:30. We'll see.

Congrats to the softball team and the baseball team last night. They both eked out one run wins. The softball team will be the #1 seed in the SEC tournament, as the regular season champs.

The baseball team got one step closer to making the SEC tournament. They are one game ahead of SC and Ky for the final spot, with 7 more SEC games to play. Maybe not a lofty goal, but we've missed it the last 2 years. It would be good to have them make it this year.

It was a great day for Bama baseball and softball, beat some Tigers.  Applause E-Cred
Speaking of rain, will it ever end? I just looked at the extended forecast and it doesn't look good for the beginning of our trip on Wednesday, nothing but rain and storms will be greeting us for the days ahead. Angry

Good morning folks.  We didn't get as much rain yesterday as I thought we would.  I got one yard mowed really early yesterday then the rain started.  Went home and waited a couple of hours then went over to Dad's house and mowed his pacle. DONE! Went and hung out with Mrs. Nalt and the kids for the rest of the day/evening.  Now I'm looking forward to a couple of weeks of NOT mowing. I travel at the end of the week for work for a few days...  Cool  Might even do some fishing "out west" but not to the extent that Chech does it...

Maybe Ft Payne?
Ft Payne is southeast from where I live... I'm going to Colorado Springs, CO...  Cool

Heck yeah! All y'all just leave me behind.

Yep, yo azz can play golfball all summer instead.

That's fine with me. Shot an 84 today. Played really well, but couldn't putt the last 4 holes. Might have broken 80 again if I could have. Guess I'm doomed to golf all summer.  Cool

Baptized one?  A baby??

Glad you're pleased, but I expected a bunch this time of year.

Shows how little I know about your church.

Today turned out to be a really beautiful day.  It started off with overcast skies but eventually that yielded to beautiful sunny skies.  The temps managed to reach about 71 degrees.

Good Monday morning! The ladies swept the corndog-ettes; the baseball team got their brains bashed in. Such is life.

Looks like the rain is over for a while. I just wish it would take all this pollen with it.  Stars

Monday, eh?  Who'd know.

Yesterday was fun.  I went to visit my buddy out in the country; the same guy who I've helped over the years build and rebuild his house after tornadoes, build 2 decks, etc.

No building yesterday.  We burned a big bonfire of old materials from a shed he'd taken down, did a few chores around the farm, then played "free-style bocce".  We rolled the white pallino across the hilly lawn, then rolled the other balls to see who was closest.  The contest lasted 2 hours.  I won.

Bocce is much like golfball, except you don't use clubs and can't slice the ball.  Just roll it towards the pallino (instead of the flag).  Anybody can do that.

Is it legal to play with your pallino?  Huh?
