We got some scattered showers yesterday.  More on it's way today.  Supposed to rain every day for probably the next week...

Only things I'm growing are weeds and juvenile delinquents... Rain doesn't help those...

We did not get any rain. I was going to cut my grass but now maybe I don't need to. I pray all of you in your travels is safe. I also hope everybody has a great day. One day closer to kick off. RTR!

But you'll have to wait a week for the "great pics", and they'll be from Montana and Yellowstone, not Virginia.

Good morning. 

Okay, our trip to Virginia centered on graduation of my nephew from Virginia Tech.  He majored in Industrial Design; a cool major where kids play all day designing new toys of their choice. 

We stayed most of the time in a cabin at Mountain Lake, a scenic location near Blacksburg.  It was the location where "Dirty Dancing" was filmed during the 1980s, that old movie about a greasy guy seducing a high-school girl. 
 


Anyhow, here are the pics.  Fun trip.

Our cabin, called "Baby's Cabin", because it's where "Baby" (high school chick) stayed during the movie.  It's a great location, surrounded by birds and wildflowers.

We ate like hogs at the lodge.  Great food.


The breakfast had dozens of options; eggs any way you liked, pancakes, fruit, everything.


Graduation at Virginia Tech.  Fortunately it was a cool morning.




Examples of some of the designs.  This new-style fishing lure should appeal to Jamos; top-water popper where water spews out the top like a whale.


We stayed with LF's parents for a couple of days in Charlottesville.  Their neighborhood is like a buffet for deer.

Next week.  I should be in Cheyenne, Wyoming a week from now.  Then I'll be at Grand Tetons NP, Yellowstone NP, and points north.  Can't wait!!
