Getting ready to meet up with Chech to go surf fishing. Conditions look pretty good today, so hopefully, we'll see some action. Y'all wish us luck.

Waiting for 2 to arrive for breakfast!  Indeed, the conditions look perfect.

I drove down to Pensacola yesterday afternoon, and had just enough time (after being stuck in traffic) for a 45-min fishing episode.  The beach was empty.  Immediately I started getting bites.  Not the pole benders, just the jiggling and obvious fish tugging.  Finally I managed to snag one: a Striped Burrfish!

Hopefully today we'll get Pompano and Redfish instead!

Looks like a mop.

Long day at the beach, but it was a good day.  Met some nice folks, and ended the day fishing with 2 new guys: Tom from St Louis and Dale from Iowa.  Both were fun and friendly.  They weren't as much fun as 2, but... 2 had to work!

Caught (myself) 6 pomps and 3 puffers (burrfish; aka MOPS).

Tom and Dale failed to catch anything, but had you been there you'd understand.  Not much attention paid to the rods.  Here are the abbreviated pics from today:

SC's "MOP".

Should be home by midday tomorrow.   Kiss

Great pics, but where's the one with Tom, Dale and the others?

Good morning folks.  Absolutely wonderful weather out there this morning.  That is supposed to change later today though.  We are supposed to get some possibly severe weather move through this afternoon/evening.

Safe travels Chech...

Yeah, it's looking pretty rough to our west and is heading this way. Chech will be driving right through it. Everybody keep an eye to the sky again today.

I got home safely.  Thanks for the concern.  It was VERY nasty just south of Meridian, but no problem elsewhere.  Had high wind and big raindrops, and lightning across the entire sky.  Yikes stuff.

Looks like it's mostly along the coast now.  Hope you're okay, 2.

Got a line of some serious looking stuff forming near Gulf Shores and heading this way. We're hunkering down. Glad you made it home safely.

Isn't it pretty nasty in Meridian regardless of the weather?   Lips Sealed

Thanks Preacher. We need the rain, but don't want the severe stuff.

 Shocked

Be strong, my friend.

Coffee
I'm licking my wounds this morning.  Long drive and weather change; I'm all achy.  Even my hands hurt!  Curse of the burrfish?
