Looking forward to going home today after being on the road for 2 weeks. Mrs 2 has been having ankle issues from an old injury and got stung on the hand by a yellow jacket. Her hand is badly swollen and she's miserable. Apparently she wants me to add to her misery by coming home.

Preacher, hang in there buddy, we're all pulling for you.

Chech, are you telling me fish no longer fear you?  Shocked

Glad to hear you're getting some time at home (even if Mrs 2 doesn't - LOL).  LF also had such an episode last summer.  The yellow-jacket nest was in a hole right next to her flower garden (wasp spray from me finished the bastids!).

Fish actually love me.  They just bite to show 'who's boss'!

Nothing.  I'm almost afraid to check for texts about him.
Hopefully every day that passes means he's improving, but the pneumonia is worrisome.

Yeah, it certainly compounds the situation. Continued prayers here for him too.

Well it is cool here today. Seems like a better day for football. Hope it rains soon, if not the rats are gonna move closer to water. Yall have a great game day.
Update to my post I just walked out on our front porch and the thermometer says 38 degrees and it feels it. RTR!

Morning All. Coffee

It feels like football season now, a very nice cool morning which makes the coffee taste so much better.

I watched Washington annihilate Stanford last night and it looks like the ole Boise State coach has finally got his plan together there and that's not good news for the other Pac 12 schools.

Mrs. J and I finally got a day to go fishing yesterday and really had a good time. We caught a few small ones but just the fall in the air feel well made the trip well worthwhile. I managed to put a hook through one of my fingers but even that wasn't so bad. Those little spotted bass are very wiggly and I let my guard down and sure enough, a hook right through my finger.

My SIL's father, Dr. Doug Shaver, passed away this week after a long bout with cancer. Some of you from the Tuscaloosa area might remember him as he was a veterinarian in Tuscaloosa for many years.

Wishing everyone a big happy weekend and I hope all your favorite teams win their games today. Prayers for all of you in need. Pray  Cheesy

Heavy hearts this morning, Continued prayers.  Pray

It is so good to be home after being gone for 2 weeks. This will be one of the craziest open enrollments I've ever been a part of, and last week, all hell broke loose. My computer crashed Monday and I had to reset it to factory settings. I'm still restoring everything. Then Wednesday, our work system picked up a nasty virus that shut us completely down. Our office manager's 15 yr old son, got rid of the virus, but we're still recovering from that. Whew!  Stars

I'm very ready for some football today. Last night was an old fashion butt whooping that Washington put on Stanford. I picked Washington. If history repeats itself, I'll go 0-9 the rest of the way.

J, glad you got in some fishing. I know you don't get to do enough of that. Chech, I hope comfort is just around the corner for all of you. I hope your niece is holding up as good as possible under the circumstances.

I'm glad it's game day. I'm ready to watch the Tide Roll!

Continued prayers for Chech and his family, this morning.  Pray

It's always good to wake up with a win, even though we didn't play our best. We better start putting it all together this week, as we go to Arkansas to play a darn good team. I hope everybody gets healthy and no more players have any guns or weed.

Looks like Louisville isn't going to run the table after all.

Morning, 2.  Coffee

Things have calmed this morning.  We just need a normal day, and a cool Sunday is just the ticket.

Good to get a win last night.  Sorry to miss the thread.  Oooh, congrats on the picks (especially Merk).  Looks like lots of folks had a good day picking.

CRAZY Clemson - Louisville finish.  Wow.

Glad things are calming down for you guys, Chech.

Imissed most all of this stuff yesterday. I hope I get to watch the rerun of the game. I am going to try and find it today. Congrats to the winners on the pick contest, I almost matched my last years best of 0-10. Missed it by 3 games, 2 wins and 1 tie. Sad day when I can't pick all the losers. Of course now the totem pole is getting heavy I ain't as strong as I use to be. Everybody have the greatest Blessed day. No church this morning trying that carpentering work yesterday about killed me it is all I can do to take Morphine and type. RTR!

Morning All. Coffee

Wow, what a day of football. There were some really good "game endings" yesterday which really fit college football for what it is.

2, glad you made it back home on a safe note, there's no place like home. Give the family a big hug for me.

It was a big day on campus yesterday with a great crowd. It was amazing how many were still in the stands at the games end last night considering the score. I guess they were enjoying the cooler weather compared to the previous two games.

Congrats to all of the game pickers, especially Merk, it was a pretty good day for most. Applause E-Cred

Well, the "real" season for Bama football is about to begin with the road trip to Arkansas next Saturday and it won't be easy. I know Arkansas has had this game circled since last year's game.

Have a great and blessed day everyone and if any of you are getting too much rain, how about sending us some of it because it's is terribly dry in our area.  Pray Cheesy
