Back in Greenville tonight, then home on Friday. I'm about brain dead.

Hope everyone is doing well. Prayers still out to Preacher, Jamos' BIL, and the young man who had the motorcycle accident.  Pray

Doing well here. Will be getting up early to leave out for the B'ham VA Hospital in the morning so I may not be able to join you all tomorrow. Just keep us as informed as possible on the team and if there is sideline news I just pray it doesn't the guys who are still here. We have a Freshman QB who wants to win and a good team. Let's keep the hammer down and Roll On! RTR!

Coffee

Praying that Preacher has a good trip to Birmingham.  And no word overnight on the hospitalized kid.

I may go fishing this morning.  Somewhere a bluegill is awaiting a bug!

Thanks, NALT.  Almost time for us to get back to the beach for some ... relaxing, fishing, and (maybe) catching.

BTW, word over at Woolly is that Barnett was becoming "toxic" to the team.  If so, it's no wonder he left.  Plus, he can practice with a new team and learn their offense.

Okie Dokie, got back from VA B'ham and the Chief Oncologist says I have 2 cancers. The one most concerned about is (if I spell it right) CHRONIC LYMPHOMIC LEUKEMIA.  He ask all the questions except if I had been in Agent Orange. He also said they have known about it since 2011. Mrs Dottie was kind of annoyed that they hadn't already said something but such is life with the VA for your medical coverage. Thanks for all the prayers and trust me they are never wasted. God Bless and Love you all. RTR!

That definitely doesn't sound good Preacher.  Will definitely be saying prayers on your behalf, and Mrs. Dottie's too.  You are a tough old bird (with all due respect) so I know you will fight these diagnosis'.  Like Mrs. Dottie, I would definitely be annoyed if they knew this 5 years ago and haven't done anything about it.  Might just be time to contact legal council about that too...

Yes sir attained a lawyer about 4 months ago when they turned down my tinnitus case on my hearing. He is out of Gadsden and they are good with VA Claims. RTR!

Praying for you, Preacher. My oldest brother is having issues with the VA as well. I hope things turn around for you. Sounds like you've got a fight on your hands, both with the VA and with the cancer.

Preacher, I have 2 friends (Bama fans too) who have the same leukemia as you.  It's chronic, meaning it persists for a long time.  It's possible that your doctor didn't bother telling you about it because of your other (more severe) issues.  There are different strains of that cancer; some are aggressive, many not.  Might be something that you never have symptoms from for years.

Praying that yours isn't a major issue.  You said you have 2 cancers.  Is the other the mouth cancer?

Yes Chechem the other cancer is of the mouth. He said right now he just didn't know if the CLL was the fast type strain but he was concerned about it because they don't know how to treat it right now. He said when I come back in January for the labs and PET scan he may be able to start a treatment plan then. Mrs Dottie was kind of upset because he wouldn't tell us more than he wasn't sure and didn't speak of starting treatment.
MY main concern is that you all please pray that God's WILL is done in my life. I want to be found doing his work for others as long as I am on this earth. We splurged today because it was the first time me and Dottie had ever eat Cracker Barrel. lol, God Bless. RTR!

I'll be sending up a lot of prayers for you, Preacher. Good things happen to good people, so I know you're in good hands.

Coffee  Boy, the coffee tastes good this morning.  Nice and cool outside; again in the 50s.

Ricky, we all support and pray for you.  Several people on this forum know lots more about CLL than I know, and likely they'll chime in with information.  Just in the last few years tests were developed to determine various strains of CLL.  That's likely what your doctor was explaining.

We DID go fishing yesterday.  A retired buddy and I went to the Sardis Lower Lake (below the dam).  It's about 20 miles.  We took my canoe and fished flyrods.  As expected, the cool weather had shut down the fish, but we still managed to catch a few Bluegills and we had fun.  Also got a mild sunburn!

Have a good day.  Time to get away from gun arrests and player defection, and get into the Kentucky game.  This ain't Kent State!

Looking forward to going home today after being on the road for 2 weeks. Mrs 2 has been having ankle issues from an old injury and got stung on the hand by a yellow jacket. Her hand is badly swollen and she's miserable. Apparently she wants me to add to her misery by coming home.

Preacher, hang in there buddy, we're all pulling for you.

Chech, are you telling me fish no longer fear you?  Shocked
