Preacher, I hope your back is better. I can identify, if only a little bit. I slept wrong or something and have a stiff, sore neck. Sciatic nerve is acting up as well. Getting old is not what it's cracked up to be.

Chech, glad you're having a good time. You are indeed the fly fisher king.

NALT, I guess we'll just have to find us an old mud puddle to drop a line in. We don't have Chech's luck.

NICE gif!!

Good morning.  Coffee

I've moved into a suite at the motel, so it's much more comfy.  Guess the manager thought I may as well be comfortable if I'm going to stay!

Not much football news about Alabama.  I'm hearing lots of talk on Sirius Radio and Finebaum about USCw.  Folks believe USC has the talent to challenge Alabama, especially considering our limited experience at QB.  Of course, USC has a new QB too.

I posted new pics on the 'Out West' thread.

I slept in this morning after staying out late to watch the Pensacola baseball team beat Mobile 8-5. Good game.

The QB race has got to produce something here pretty quick. I'm making my prediction that the starting QB for Bama's last name rhymes with Burts.  Cheesy

Well good morning and this the last day before hopefully the pain subsides. Tomorrow is my surgery @ 6 AM so I probably will miss tomorrow. I have a feeling we will see a Freshman start this first time ever that I can remember at Alabama. If anybody can remember I sure wish you would help me. It has been cooler the last couple of days not what will happen today. Hope everybody has a great day. RTR!

Prayers for total success with your back Preacher.

Chech, I'm glad that you are more comfortable as well.

Ok, so we took Abel to the Gastroenterologist this afternoon.  He (doctor) asked lots and lots of questions about what/how/when regarding his bowel movements.  When he finally stopped asking questions he started rambling, and rambling, and rambling about the different things that could be going on with him.  He did say matter of factly though that Abel does not have cancer.  That brought a sigh of relief from me.  He indicated that the most likely problem is basically an infection.  The doctor is going to treat Abel for Clostridium difficile. He will take a pill 3 times a day for 10 days....See if there is positive results from that course of action.  If this doesn't fix the problem then he said he would have to "go in and look around" to see if maybe there were some polyps or tears in his colon.  He seemed quite confident that this medication would do the trick for him though.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts/concerns/prayers on Abel's behalf.  Meer words cannot express how appreciative I am for all of you...

Thanks 2, we really appreciate it.

I'm curious though, the doctor was wearing a shirt with the Florida Gators logo on it.  Do you think  we should be concerned?  Huh?

Pretty good news, NALT.  Hopefully it's healed with the medication.

As for the Gator logo, he sounds like a person who makes poor decisions!!

Great day fishing yesterday.  New pics on the "Out West" thread.  Coffee

I'm dragging this morning. Went to the P'cola baseball game again last night and sat through an hour and a half rain delay. Got home very late. P'cola won again, however, 3-2 over Mobile.

Good chilly morning.  It's 26 degrees here today.  Maybe I'll go warm my hands by the wildfires!!

Coffee tastes great; glad I packed a coffee maker.  Coffee

There was a chance of rain here yesterday, and it looked like maybe it rained to the east (where the biggest wildfire is located).  We'll see if 2's prayers helped!!
 Kiss

I posted pics on the "Out West" thread.  It was a very good day on the lake.  It never got hot (high 62), and was sunny (through the smoky sky) until late.  It's about the same today.

TEAM HURTS!!

Wow, 26 degrees! That's hard to imagine, as hot as it is down here. I feel guilty; we're getting rain every day. I wish we could ship some up there.
