Wow, what a week! Went to my annual Myrtle Beach golf outing, but instead of just being a participant with no responsibilities, I had the run the show since our illustrious leader was recouping from hip surgery. I'm exhausted, even though it was a great time for everybody. Looks like we got out just in time too, since a tropical system is moving in over the weekend.

Chech, looks like you hit the mother load of trout. Great job! I know that was fun.

I hope everyone is doing well and will enjoy the holiday weekend. Holiday traffic was horrible. Took me 13 1/2 hours to get home, and I witnessed a heck of an accident that I almost got caught up in. The guy totaled his car, but he was ok other than being quite shaken up. Anyway, we all really need to remember what this holiday is all about.

Below is a pic of our motley crew on the first tee, the first day.

Glad you made it home okay, that was a long drive.
You had a big group, hope all of them had a good time as well. Chech has sore mouthed all the trout in Colorado since he arrived, I bet the locals are wondering when he is leaving. Are you playing golf today? Laughing

No golf today, J, or any time soon. I'm sick of golf for a little while.

Good morning, all.  Thanks for the jollies, Jamos!

I'm starting a bit slower today.  I've spent 12 hours each of the past 2 days on my feet in 42-degree water, so I'm wearing down.  I'll start an hour later; the fish don't start snapping untl the sun comes up anyhow (these Colorado fishermen are prissies).  Not like Pensacola, where you miss the best fish if you eat breakfast first!

BTW, I sat at the bar last night next to a guy who played football at SMU (walking distance from my lodge).  This guy is from Waco, Texas; coaches high school here in CO now.  He had plenty to say about Baylor.  Said Briles program was DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY.  Well known that players were paid, and Briles ran the university.  Nobody dared cross him.  Said the same thing happened when Briles built a huge high-school team with steroids and imported players from other schools.  According to him, it may be a while before anybody else hires Briles.  He may also face criminal charges for covering up the allegations.

Good morning from chilly Aspen (well nearby).  Coffee

So nice here that I'm staying two more days. Somewhere in this river is a fish I haven't met!!

Just a beautiful area and excellent fishing. Except for the one smallish trout I caught yesterday (10"), they're all very nice-sized fish. Nothing trophy sized yet, but I watched a guy fight in (and eventually lose) a real big one yesterday (maybe 26"). Maybe today I catch him!!  Wish you fishermen could join me; nice fishing.

Have a good day. Ricky, supervise only!!

Man, you've got it going on, Chech! Catch that big one today!

My golf buddies have put the guilt to me, so I'm playing this afternoon. I told J that I'm thinking about giving them my money before we even start. I'm golf weary.

Thanks, guys.  Here are some pics:

Sorry, only pics of fish.  I'll take some local pics of the area later (if the fish stop biting!).

Morning All.  Coffee

My days seem to be mixed up with the holiday today, it seems like it's Sunday again. Speaking of the holiday, it's a solemn day for me but an appreciative one as I think of all the lives lost as well as the life long injuries. There is a big price paid for winning and preserving our freedoms that most of us all enjoy so much and yet some still fail to see and understand the actual price that was paid by our young men. Pray Sad

Check, it's good to see that you are having a very good fishing trip, hope you can catch one go the "big boys" that you mentioned. I got a nice surprise Saturday, one of my buddies called and asked me to fish a tournament with him yesterday on the upper end of the Warrior River, Franklin's Ferry. It was a small tournament with the winner take all format and the "lost the big one" syndrome bit us again. We got beat out by .5 of an ounce  and had the winning fish on at the boat and let it get off. Franklin's Ferry is my favorite location to fish on the Warrior and it proved itself again yesterday as we caught lots of fish but nothing big with our biggest fish being 3 pounds.

2, hope you made the boys wish they hadn't invited you to play yesterday by giving them all a big spanking. Wink

Our kids bought us a new computer this weekend, an Apple Mac. Microsoft blew us out of the water last week by switching us to Windows 10 for some unknown reason and we lost everything that we had stored on it. We asked them why it was changed and the best reason they could come up with was there had been a glitch in their system. We should have had a back up hard drive but we didn't and learned a lesson from that but now we don't have to put up with Microsoft and their unknown failure reasons anymore thanks to our wonderful children.

Have a good day everyone. Pray Cheesy

Morning, all.

Memorial Day, so let's remember all of the vets living and dead.  My Dad served in WWII, and (fortunately) entered the war near the end and missed the worst of it.  He joined when he was just 16 (wow, imagine).

Back to the river today.  Loving fishing this place!  Jumping
