Hey Chechem yall need to be safe buddy. I've noticed there are a lot of big sinkholes that are opening because of all the rain. RTR!

Thanks, Preacher, but we're not in sinkhole territory.
This is copperhead territory.

Dang, Chech, that is some serious rain! I hope it let's up for you. Radar is showing a serious storm heading this way.

Earlier was nice. My BIL was making homemade ice cream with an old engine that is 102 years old. He completely restored it and only had to replace the governor parts. Here's a pic of it churning the ice cream.

Thanks for the pic, 2, of the ice-cream machine.  Really cool.  My BIL never makes/does anything!

STILL RAINING here.  We blew past 5" at dark yesterday.  I awoke at 1AM to lightning, and unplugged everything (phones, computers, TV, etc).  It's raining now and there's thunder rumbling constantly.  Crazy rain!  I'll report rain-gauge totals when it gets light outside.

Looks like a soggy July 4th.   Sad

7.1"!!!  Shocked

To my knowledge only light rain in T-Town so far.  Although, I have been know to sleep through storms.    Most of the heavy rain appears to be passing North...

We did get a flash flood alert around 3am.  With all the dry weather we've had I don't expect the Corps will have too much trouble controlling things (I hope!).

Wow, seven inches of rain is probably 12-14% of your annual rainfall in a day.

Morning, Red and 2.  Coffee

I can see the rain gauge now.  According to it, we've had 5 1/4" since noon yesterday.  The 7.1" was from the Oxford Airport.

Glad we're atop a big hill.  Those below are dealing with water in their yards!  Wow.

Happy 4th.

I am getting sick of all this rain. It is keeping me from doing everything I had planned for the long weekend. Although I am looking forward to grilling baby back ribs for dinner tonight. Sure was hoping to play some golf and cut my grass.

Chech, what have you done to Chaac? Undecided
2, that has to be the most unique ice cream maker that I've ever seen. Applause E-Cred
Mrs. J and I are in Iowa Park, Texas visiting our grand daugter, hubby, and great granddaughter. We watched a fantastic fireworks show last evening on the lake next to their home. For the first time in many years I won't be working at the grill to celebrate the 4th.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Aw, LF made some offhanded comment about the Mayan empire, and now we're paying the price!

The rain finally stopped and I got in a round of golf. Bad idea. The course was very soggy which I knew it would be. Since it was cart path only we walked. I had mud all over me when I finished. The course is 6700 yds but played 7000 yds today it was so wet. That is way too long for me. The temperature was misleading. It was very humid and that make it feel much hotter than expected. I can't said I enjoyed playing in a swamp today but it beat sitting at home.

Now I have those baby back ribs to look forward to.

Johnny Cash was one of my Dad's favorite entertainers. I guess I inherited that from him because I have always liked Johnny Cash too. I thought this was appropriate to post on July 4th.
