Morning Chech and CRS. Coffee

Normally Mrs. J and our daughter would be shopping right now but for whatever reason they decided to not participate in the Black Friday craziness this year.

We had a new experience this Thanksgiving, we invited an Asian family from church to celebrate thanksgiving with us and it was just great. They had never celebrated Thanksgiving as we do in America and it was very rewarding to watch them learn about why and how we celebrate this day. Mrs. J saddled up one of the horses after lunch and let them ride a horse for the first time ever and this was the icing on the cake for them. The dad had to even get a picture of him on the tractor. I guess we all forget sometimes how blessed we are to have the way of life that we have in our world, especially the freedom of worship and isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about.

Have a great day everyone. Pray Cheesy

Black Friday started on Thursday at my house. My daughters went to Old Navy at 4:00. Another store opened at six. I heard them come in last night a little after 12:00. Shopping bags in the dinning room from Kohl's, Old Navy, Walmart, Target, Belk's and Bath & Body. They are gone again this morning. This time my wife and M-I-L are with them.

Too cold for golf. Not sure what I will do today. Arkansas vs Mizzou looks like a good game.

J, that is awesome!!!  Applause E-Cred Very e-cred worthy. We do, indeed have a great deal to be thankful for.

I feel very thankful that my family and I aren't injured or worse. We were coming home from Lafayette this afternoon, when traffic came to a dead stop on the bridge just before the Pascagoula exits. When that sort of thing happens, I always leave some room between me and the car in front me and then immediately check the rear view mirror.

To my horror, a PU truck was barreling toward us at a very high rate of speed. He swerved to the right of us, out of control, and then headed straight for us. I pulled up and turned right as far as I could go, which spared us a direct hit. The truck then hit the bridge wall and caromed into us. It slowed him down enough to ride the bridge wall to a stop. Amazingly, no one was hurt. If I had not seen him and had not moved the car to avoid a direct hit, it would have been a very serious situation for everyone in both cars.

Apparently, he slammed on breaks and the breaks failed. I have to get the left rear quarter panel and rear bumper replaced, but was able to drive home. His truck is most likely totalled.

Mrs 2, Breddy, my grandson and I are very, very thankful that this accident was no worse.

Oh, and the responding officer let my grandson work the siren on his police car. Turned a crying, terrified kid into a happy little boy. Kudos on that officer's behalf will be sent to the County SO.

Thanks, Chech. I can only imagine your wreck on that nightmare of a bridge. It was a parking lot Wednesday afternoon as we were crossing it.

Thank you, Preacher. I really appreciate that.

Before we left Lafayette, this morning, we had breakfast at "The Coffee Depot" in Scott, La.
They are renown for their Beignets. We placed our order (in addition to breakfast), and I went to the restroom. When I came out, this is what I found.

This last one disappeared as quickly as the others. Very good Beignets!  Tongue

Good Morning Everyone. Coffee

It hasn't been a very good morning here this morning, some one ran through my yard again last night leveling the phone pedestal, took out two more of our crepe myrtles as well as tearing down some the fencing of the pasture. My neighbor said they heard the noise arounf 1 a.m.. This is a road that has a 25 mph speed limit. There were parts of the phone pedestal 90 ft to the right of the pedestal and truck parts scattered from where the initial impact was to 150' across my yard and pasture back into the road. There were tuck parts in the road 25' to the left of where the truck was sliding across the yard.

I am at wits end with this type of thing as it has happened at least 8-10 times before and each time I have called the County Commissioner to ask for help with the speed on this road, he has always promised to come and check it out and I haven't seen him. I've got lots of pictures with this one though and today I will be ringing his doorbell. I have been trying to cool off some before going to his house by eating some breakfast, hopefully he will be at home.

I hope Bama rolls over the Barn like the person did my yard. ROLL TIDE!!!!

Have a great day everyone. Pray Cheesy
