Great stuff, Chech. Looks like it is quiet and peaceful there. The fish look great. I bet you're about ready for a steak by now.

We're ready for the stories when you are.

Nice pics Chech, I love eating those walleyes. Many years ago I made a trip to Canada with my Iowa buddies and what a time we had. Yes 2, it is very pleasant there, nothing but the sounds and sights of nature. I really enjoyed watching the bald eagles hunt for their meals on the lake. I was always hoping to make one more trip up there but I doubt it will ever happen now.

Y'all have really got me wanting to go there. I'm rather fond of quiet. Is there a golf course up there? Maybe you, Chech and I could get in a round when we're not fishing. Then again, maybe not such a good idea. Somewhere along the way I would shatter the quiet. Embarrassed

LoL. 2, it is so peaceful it's hard to believe, the most noise you hear are the loons. We were out in the wilderness and our fish camp was the only one on this lake and it was a big lake. The highway that we traveled to get there ended at this lake and a boat was there to pick us up to take us to the camp which was about 10 miles away . When we needed supplies, they were flown in. All we ate was walleyes and fried potatoes with onions.

Good Friday morning, CRS! It's been a killer week for 'ole 2. I may try to slip off and play a little golf this afternoon, even as hot as it is.

Kickoff in 36 days. I'm starting to feel the anticipation. Still no word on whether DTV is going to pick up the SEC network. Getting a little nervous here.  Undecided I want to go to AT&T U-verse, but we're like 3 blocks from being in their service area.  Angry Oh well, just have to wait it out and see.

Y'all have a great weekend!

Good morning, guys.  It's a wonderful 59 degrees here, plus clear skies.

Jamos, sounds like you had a similar trip to ours.  We drove 4 hours into Canada, then flew a float plane farther into the wilds of the 'Great North Woods'.  Lots of walleye.  I don't see how a minnow survives in that lake!

We saw moose almost every day, including a mother moose swimming with a newborn calf.  Bald Eagles were plentiful, and would swoop down to perch on a big rock where we set out the fish scraps after fileting the walleye.  The eagles would wait for us every afternoon, as did an otter.  Really nice.

The loons made it special too.  From the web:

Anyone every been to Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Buford, GA? I had never heard of it but had to go there for a business trip this week. It is a beautiful resort. It reminded me of The Grand in Point Clear, AL. The golf course alone is worth a trip. If you are looking for a laid back weekend get away this would be a good place to go.

I have played a course on Lake Lanier. I think it was called "Royal Lakes" if I'm not mistaken. Beautiful course!

That is a pretty fancy course. I hope that barn did not cause you much trouble. The RTJ Highlands course at Hampton Cove in Huntsville has an old barn off to the right of the fairway on #5. My friends still rib be about the day I hit one into the barn.

Well we got back from the doctors visit about 30 mins ago. Dottie has to have 12 treatments of Chemo. She has to go have a port module installed first. Thanks to you all who have prayed for us. Prayer works. RTR!

I hate that she will have to go through that ricky, but I pray that the side effects will not be too difficult for her. Y'all are still in our prayers, and give mrs. ricky a big hug from me.  Pray

Yes, Dottie is in our prayers tonight, as always.  You are too, Preacher.
