Looks like we had a sprinkle overnight, but that's about it. Cooler weather is filtering in, Boo!

Good morning, all.  WINTER IS BACK! 

It's 27 degrees and dropping.  And windy.  But the rain is gone.

There were a few tornadoes in Tennessee and Arkansas yesterday, but none in Mississippi or Alabama (that I heard of).  Hope everyone is okay.

It's 27 degrees and dropping.  And windy.  But the rain is gone.

There were a few tornadoes in Tennessee and Arkansas yesterday, but none in Mississippi or Alabama (that I heard of).  Hope everyone is okay.

Good article. Explains a lot. Here is a post from Reuben over at the Woolly:

I spoke with a former Bama DB. He told me, that after the playoff game in Mijami, many of the players went out and partied very hard, very late. CNS was PISSED! Practiced the hell out of them for the whole week. Players were beat down physically and emotionally, coming into the game. Assistants were pissed as well. Seems NS was more about teaching the lesson than winning the game. TIFWIW

Looks like maybe the perfect storm of negativity hit Bama by the day of the Natty.

Whether we were "beat down physically and emotionally" or not, Clemson has an excellent game plan and were coached well during the game.  Give them their due.

But we know that our team wasn't hitting on all cylinders that night.  Our O-line had no push at the goalline, and Clemson got the early momentum with interceptions.  That's the way football goes some times.  Like most every other team out there, we're left saying "Next year".

That lesson was probably taught in part by the butt-whipping we received at the hands of Clemson.  It also might explain some of the early departures of players that surprised us too...
