Save your prayers; it's passing north of us about 10-15 miles.  Sirens still blaring, though.

Good morning.

It was a nasty night here.  Just as we were preparing to go to bed last night the sirens went off again.  A tornado was passing south of Oxford.  Don't know if that one touched down.  Finally about 11:30 we got the all clear.  That line of rain and storms is now passing through Bham.

Have a good day, all.

Glad you made it through the bad weather, Chech. I went to bed early last night and missed most of the excitement.

My youngest daughter and her hubby are here visiting. We walked around downtown Greenville last night and noticed a brand new “Lost Cajun Cafe” was having their grand opening. There is one of these across the street from my office, so I know how good the food is. We were greeted by girls passing out Madrid Gras beads. Inside, we were seated and then greeted by the founder of the franchise, Ray Griffin. I had on a Bama windbreaker, so I caught a lot of good natured guff from him and some of the others. Obviously, I had the last laugh as I reminded everybody about the 29-0 beatdown we put on them.

I did this AFTER we ate, of course.

We've beaten LSU so many times that we've all learned to razz the Cajun cooks and servers AFTER we eat.

Good morning, all.  I'm not sure how bad the weather got here as I slept through it, but there were school delays.  I'm not sure if those were issued precautionarily last night or if there were power or other problems after the storm that caused the delays.

"Lost Cajun Cafe" founder and franchise owner, Ray (Griff) Griffen and I, from last night.
In his previous life, he had to have been either a used car salesman or politician.

Good morning folks.  Bad night of weather last night.  I'm so thankful that everyone is ok.  There was a confirmed tornado that touched down about 3 miles the way the crows fly from my house.  Fortunately it was south and east of us and that is the direction it was traveling.  Also fortunate in that there were no reported injuries or deaths from it. The storm arrived around 2:30 this morning and within an hour it was heading off into Georgia.

Tornado hit Tupelo MS last night.  I haven't heard about injuries.
Several in Tennessee with fatalities.
 Sad

Here's a pic of Angie Walker (behind her husband); she was killed last night.
She's related to a friend of ours here in Oxford.

Mrs. Nalt called Abel's gastro doc yesterday to give him an update on Abel's condition.  He was diagnosed about 2 years ago with Ulcerative Colitis.  He is now just 14 y/o.  Doc said that since his condition has deteriorated he wants us to go to the Gastro clinic in Birmingham now instead of waiting on our appointment scheduled for January.  She called the clinic this morning and explained to them what the regular doc said.  We will be taking him down there tomorrow now.  I just hope they don't feel a need to hospitalize him... Prayers GREATLY appreciated...
