I very much enjoyed my golf trip. There were 16 of us. I had the low round Monday and shot well again yesterday. I had a hard time loosening up today and started very slow, but finished pretty strong for a respectable round. I couldn't quite make up all the ground I lost and lost my match in match play today.

Back to work tomorrow.

Looks like Jalen Hurts will remain with the Crimson Tide, and he will continue playing through the year.  At least that's what Saban said Wednesday.  Good news for us; finally we have a reliable backup at QB.

Looks like Jalen Hurts will remain with the Crimson Tide, and he will continue playing through the year.  At least that's what Saban said Wednesday.  Good news for us; finally we have a reliable backup at QB.

 

Very good news. No Kelly Bryant situation here, thank goodness.

Most of the golfers I played with were good natured Georgia fans. Before the first round, however, some dumb old Clemson fan reminded me of the one time they beat us. I reminded him that if a totally inept Big 12 officiating crew had been replaced by someone who actually knew what a pick play was, the outcome would have been different. Not only did that piss him off, it pissed off another guy that was loading up his clubs. Yep, darn near had a fight in the parking lot. Both of them were in their 70s, so I'm pretty sure I could have taken them.

Speculation on ESPN last weekend was Bama (1) vs Notre Dame (4) and Clemson (2) vs Ohio State (3) in Playoffs.
