Well got my new modem Friday evening and the DSL was down. That lightning did a job it more than just us and tore up lines down the road I reckon. Thanks Lee Willie. I am glad it is close. OH btw the way Fruithurst is close to earth also. RTR!

Don't know if this applies to the U.S., but here in England we'll have an eclipse of the moon tonight and also a "blood red" moon.  Sounds pretty exciting.
Mars also is really close to the earth.  Saw it bright in the sky the other night.

Look up tonight if possible.  This is when Mars is the closest in 15 years and will be three times its normal size.

Good morning folks.  Beautiful morning here but the rain is coming.  The farmers need it but I don't.  I hope you all have a great day.  Anybody seen or heard from Chech?  Not like him to be away this long...

He says he's on hiatus until the football news picks up. Kinda quiet around here.

Sure it is thanks to him.  If he wasn't so obsessed with fishing, critter watching and being a continental traveler then he could post more...

Well it has been a good morning. The finally got my internet at home back up and running. Waiting next week on Monday for Mrs Dottie to have the nerves burned in her back. Then we shall see football in the running and basketball will be in the running. RTR!

I've been looking up every night for the past few days because I knew Mars was getting closer, but we've had lots of cloud cover, with thunderstorms forecast for tonight.

I have been able to see Mars in the mornings before the sunrise.  It appears small (but larger than any of the stars) and orange low in the western sky.  Pretty cool...
