Good to see your post, J. I hope you travel-weary explorers are doing well.

NALT, may everyone catch a whopper.  Cheesy

OT, when I quit drinking regular Coke 20 years ago, I went to Diet Coke and  can no longer stand the taste of it. Dilly Dilly for Diet Coke!

Chech, Arrowhead Point is heavily wooded. No pullups needed

Good Sunday morning! Nice and cool here this morning. Apparently, a front moved through yesterday. At 3 PM yesterday afternoon, my car showed 74 degrees. It's 67 right now and got down as low as 65. Not bad for July.

Anybody doing anything exciting today?

Good morning.

I'm going to watch Bubba try to win the Greenbrier Thingy.  Otherwise, I'll be tying flies for the August fishing trip and killing weeds in the flowerbed.

Pretty exciting, eh?

Good morning folks.  I think I'll be using my sting trimmer to cut the weeds down that line my driveway.  My neighbor, who shares part of the drive, did his side on Friday and made me look bad.  So, hopefully, weather permitting, I'll cut my side this afternoon.

I took the middle boy fishing yesterday afternoon.  I had him set up with a pumpkin seed lizard while I was throwing a Rebel Pop-R.  I caught a nice 1.5 pounder on my last cast after I told him we needed to find another place.  While he was taking a pic of it the game warden came up trying to tell me to hold the fish closer to the camera to make it look bigger.  I joked with him saying, "Oh, so you're a professional photographer too?"  We laughed.  I released the fish then showed him my lifetime fishing license.  He was interested in the pistol that I was carrying so I showed it to him and we discussed it then he left.  We wound up staying at that boat ramp and Abel finally caught a bass that was a bit smaller than the one I caught.  He was thrilled.

Hope you can get that crabgrass under control Chech.

Y'all some weed-eating mofos.  Have fun doing it.

I'll be helping Mrs 2 put up some Wainscoting in the guest bathroom this morning, then maybe some golf on my home course. I need a good showing today to salve my wounds from yesterday's round.

Morning All. It was a rainy late afternoon here yesterday and we could use the rain on the golf course, it's the best summertime fertilizer that I know of. The greens on the golf course took a big hit last winter and now the timely rain and summertime nights have helped that situation big time.

Mrs.J is doing much better with her foot issue and she is much easier to get along with. Wink
We have been doing some traveling which is much different than when we lived on the farm and we have enjoyed it all. I was advised yesterday that we were going to Iowa at the end of this month, now you know who runs this battleship.
Mrs. J and I have been playing some late afternoon golf and she seems to be enjoying that, it's hard to replace the horses and farm life.

It's good to read all of you have been doing okay.

Glad to hear about Mrs J's foot and the golf course greens, Jamos. That is indeed good news. Also glad y'all are getting to do all this traveling. I know having horses kept you from doing a lot of that, so it's good you and Mrs J can just pick up and go when you feel like it now.

You still working over at the hospital?

Hey Jamos.  Good to see you back.  Also glad that Mrs. J's foot is getting better even though I had no idea she had hurt it.  With that in mind, how's your back side?

Looked out my window this afternoon (2:30) to see that raccoons took over my deck while I was out of town:

Mrs. Nalt actually feeds the wildlife around our home.  She regularly has several coons, some opossum, red fox, and deer that come around at feeding time.  The coons will actually come up on our porch looking for her if she isn't out by the time they think she should be feeding them.  Angry

Yep, still at DCH it's pretty good entertainment. We have this country boy from Gordo that works with us and he could have been a star on any of the hillbilly comedy shows, we asked him if he was related to Junior Samples. It sure beats working out of the honey-do jar every day. We made a trip to Galveston Beach on Fathers Day week and really had a good time. Our son Tim and his daughter/family met us there and we had a pretty good time. We went speckled trout fishing one day and had quite a half day of fishing. Hope your family is doing well.

I read where Chech is preparing for another trip, I know he's chomping at the bit to get there.

Nalt, be real careful about feeding some of the wild animals like raccoon and fox as they are know to be rabies carriers quite often. I just read a news article last week where two men were attacked by a fox and both were bitten. I'm guessing both will have to the take the rabies shots. Racoons can become a huge nuisance as well once they get used to being fed
