Nasty, rainy days like this make me want to be back on the island.  Sad

Quit whining.  Every time I call Sand Destin they answer the phone, "It's a beautiful day in Sand Destin."  You can't have it both ways.

BTW, I spent a 3-day vacation there once; hit by a tropical storm.  Golf course closed; snapper-fishing trip cancelled.  We sat inside, played cards, and LOL about the telephone greeting.

So you're telling me you bring rain with you? Well then, consider this an open invitation to come to beautiful sunny Pensacola! (FYI....it's Sandestin)

I'll come visit, but only if they learn how to spell and the fish are biting.

The fish are always biting. The trick, just like in Belize, is to know where.

Thanks.

I was thinking this morning about the first time I encountered the obnoxious LSU fans.  I was a student.  I think it was the 1970 game, and a pair of LSU buses drove through Tuscaloosa on Friday.  The games were in Birmingham then, but for some reason the LSU fan-filled buses drove along University Boulevard past campus.  Maybe they were sight-seeing.

As I walked along University near Denny Chimes, I looked up to see them yelling at students from open windows of the bus.  Grown men were giving the finger to Alabama students (who stood stunned) and people on the bus yelled out "F--- You" to us.  I recall seeing women on the bus, and I wondered what they thought.  I had never heard a person older than 30 say the F-word.

Now I know, it was just the typical LSU filthy-mouthed fans.  Get ready, folks, they're getting juiced up now and will arrive soon.   Sad

I heard somewhere they are expecting around 200,000 + in T-town this weekend. The stadium holds, what, 101,000? I guess those other 99,000 are just going to have a massive tailgating party.

Geez, I think I smell Corndog already.
