On paper, Bama is a better team and should win easily.  The reality is that anything can happen in a game like this.  Georgia's passing game matches up well for them against Bama's pass defense.  They may be able to score 20+ points, so our boys will have to score some points.  I don't think that will be a problem though.  I expect a final score in the neighborhood of 31-21 Bama.

UGA's signature win was over UF 17-9. The Gators had 6 turnovers.

The win over Florida is the only win over a top team UGA has had with Aaron Murray as QB. It seems like Murray has been there forever but this is his third year as the starter. UGA was beaten bad by South Carolina. The next best teams they played was Vandy and Ole Miss.

09/01/12 vs. Buffalo  Athens, Ga. W, 45-23
09/08/12 at Missouri *  Columbia, Mo. W, 41-20
09/15/12 vs. Florida Atlantic  Athens, Ga. W, 56-20
09/22/12 vs. Vanderbilt *  Athens, Ga. W, 48-3
09/29/12 vs. Tennessee *  Athens, Ga. W, 51-44
10/06/12 at South Carolina *  Columbia, S.C. L, 35-7
10/20/12 at Kentucky *  Lexington, Ky. W, 29-24
10/27/12 vs. Florida *  Jacksonville, Fla. W, 17-9
11/03/12 vs. Ole Miss *  Athens, Ga. W, 37-10
11/10/12 at Auburn *  Auburn, Ala. W, 38-0
11/17/12 vs. Georgia Southern  Athens, Ga. W, 45-14
11/24/12 vs. Georgia Tech  Athens, Ga. W, 42-10

UGA vs. UF is the only game wehave to analyze UGA against real competition except for their loss to USCe. The Gators had 6 turnovers but I believe UGA had 3. Also UGA had about 130 yds in penalties. This game was poorly played by both teams. This was a big stage and BOTH teams choked.

UGA had 273 yds of offense against UF's defense. Our defense is better. Gurley had around 120 yds rushing, which he can forget about against Bama. Driskell (UF) had an above .500 day but threw 2 picks. AJ will do better.

If you play a team that has 6 turnovers and 100 yds in penalties a good team should win by more than 1 score.

I don't know the names of Hollywood actors/ singers, etc. but isn't Aron Murray Justin Beiber's girlfriend?

Honestly UGA really hasn't played anyone of Bama's caliber. To me that UF/UGA game was quite boring...one only has to look @ their schedule to figure this out. jmo

The schedule does look weak. I know USCe really took them behind the woodshed. Our kickers to me will make a difference when they flip the field. I know one thing if they put that mean old Pagan in there he may not sack him but he will scare him to death. RTR!

Well according to Jesse Palmer this morning, Notre Dame should be hoping to get Bama in the championship, as they matchup better with us than UGA. This is because JP believes that UGA is more athletic and throws better, and that Bama depends on the run consistently. I thought to myself, "Oh right, I forgot how CNS tends to bring in guys with no skills, and that AJ isn't able to throw the ball at all."

Then right after that in the next discussion he gave Alabama the edge in Atlanta because AJ is a better QB with big game experience, completely contradicting everything he just said about Georgia having a better passing game.

Huh?

Laughing  I noticed that too.

The other guy said that Bama matches up favorably with Notre Dame, because ND relies on a power rushing game, and Bama's defense is very well designed to stop the run.

I think UGA could give bama trouble if they stick to the LSU and A&M game plan, short throws and march down the field...but UGA's bobo is not that smart, so i think Bama takes them to the wood shed. Pray

Well Georgia has 2 RB's that are great. I think they could run the ball with the OL. I also think that Murray could out pass us even if the OL was getting beat every time. He does not need all that beef machine to help him pass to his WR's. Georgia is so complete I know because Jesse Palmer said they was. RTR!

Offense: Keep the ball and run the clock. Score something on 1/2 of our possessions. No penalties or turnovers. Play field position football.

Defense: No big plays. Make them run. Yes, that's what I said. Make them run. I have more faith in our DL and linebackers to close off the run in a pass-defense package than I do the corners and safeties stopping big pass plays in a run-defense package.
