So while looking at our sched. on espn.com I noticed our rankings in various categories. The one we can really wrap our arms around is 113th in FG PCT (LOL). I guess they don't even find defensive stats worth mention. BTW, I think I saw our rebounds per game ranked at 258th in the country. Maybe that is due to our shooting being so good there is just not all that many rebounds available.  Huh?

It is too early for those stats to mean anything. We played a pretty good team in SDS. Most schools have not played a respectable team yet. We will find out a lot about our team in New York. The schedule on your link does not include the game on 11/16 which will either be Purdue or Villanova. We have two tough games this week.

So I guess Friday night game will be ESPN2 also? I was just trying to be LOL on the stats. You are correct, but I was serious about ESPN disregarding "points allowed" (defense) as a critical stat.

If we win we beat Oregon State we will play Friday at 6:30 on ESPN2. If we lose we play at 4:00 on ESPNU.

So, I think we should go ahead and plan supper around the 6:30 tip. RTR

Rolltide.com article on the Tide's trip to New York.

Quote
The Beavers and Crimson Tide will play in the first game Thursday with both teams sporting a perfect 2-0 record. Alabama defeated South Dakota State (60-57) and West Alabama (80-49) in the Tuscaloosa Regional, while Oregon State captured wins over Niagara (102-83) and New Mexico State (71-62) in the Corvallis Regional.

Purdue (1-1) and Villanova (2-0) will take the floor immediately after the Alabama-Oregon State match-up. The losers of those games will play at 4 p.m. CT (5 p.m. ET) Friday in the consolation game on ESPNU, with the winners competing for the 2K Sports Classic title in primetime Friday night on ESPN2.

Leading the Crimson Tide will be sophomore guard Trevor Lacey, who is off to a sensational start to the 2012-13 campaign. A native of Huntsville, Ala., Lacey is averaging 19.0 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds a game this season. He is shooting 65-percent (13-of-20) from the floor and a remarkable 70-percent (7-of-10) from beyond the arc.

Oregon State coach Craig Robinson was an All-Ivy League player at Princeton in the 1980s and a bond trader in the 1990s before getting into coaching. ... Robinson is the older brother of First Lady Michelle Obama and brother-in-law of President Barack Obama.
