I hadn't thought about the fact that the Pac 12 would be aligned with the Big 10 since they would love to have a NC game with their conference champions in the Rose Bowl....Lol, hell will be a little chilly when that happens.
Yeah, that makes sense. And the Big12 joining the SEC for similar reasons, as outsiders to the Rose Bowl Another factor may be history, as the Big12 is the only other conference with a non-conference champion making the BCSCG. In fact, the Big12 has placed a non-conference champion twice in the BCSCG, 2001 Nebraska and 2003 Oklahoma. Neither of those teams won the Big12, but they competed in the BCSCG.

It would seem, unless I missed it, that the Big 12 and Pac 12 have been pretty quiet on the subject. The Big 10 and SEC have been making all the noise. I'm wondering if those 2 conferences are as fed up with the SEC as the Big 10 and "Sour grapes" Delany?
One of those two agrees with the SEC that it should be the best four teams. Care to guess which one? I would guess Pac 12. I have a 50% chance of being right. Tails, you lose! It's the Big12. Click here for linkDid I mention that I also had a 50% chance of losing?

One of the best comments I heard was him fitting in with the staff. It is extremely important for a staff to fit/work together.
Scarborogh agrees with you -- he's a good fit. Click here for linkIf it sounds like the words of Saban coming out of Nussmeier’s mouth, don’t be alarmed. There was no ventriloquism at work in South Alabama on Thursday night. Nussmeier wasn’t reading a memorandum or speaking from a teleprompter. The young offensive coordinator is cut from the same cloth as his new boss and knows a good way of playing football when he sees it.

I think they are different skill sets: approaching women versus selling your program to recruits and their families. Unless that is how Franklin approaches recruits -- "How would you like to come over to my place?"

CDN was almost giddy as he spoke to us Tuesday night. He said he was just amazed to see all of the talent that Bama has during spring practice. He said to take these young ones and practice them against a defense like Bama has is just amazing in developing the players into the star players that they came to Bama to become.
He hinted that Brent Calloway might become the new H Back and I liked that. They have been looking hard to find a position for him because he is quite an athlete and spring practice might have just resolved that problem.
Sounds like a good fit for him. Now they just need to figure out what to do with that Sims guy (the other one). Something other than we're desperate for a backup QB role. He did talk some of Sims and they do want to use him more than they have already. He mentined several variations of how he can be used so maybe it will be different for him this year. He wasn't too happy about him being injured and losing all of that valuable practice time in the spring though. With Phil Sims gone, the options at backup QB are slim. Blake could use more practice snaps, too bad for the injury, and he might be the best option for running the Wildcat. Perhaps he could have a select package of plays -- if AJ gets injured, the opponents defense will be prepared for the usual playbook -- and it would add a new wrinkle.

Click here for linkThe Ole Miss Rebels know they have a long way to go to climb out of the SEC West cellar after last year's 2-10 finish. But John Miller, the school's assistant athletic director for football operations, said Wednesday they're off to a good start under new head coach Hugh Freeze. ... "We'll build this thing on family," Miller said. "We're a Christian-based staff. We don't allow any cussing in the building, not by the players, coaches, not on the field or anything. We do it a little bit different than you'll see throughout the country. When we get this thing going, our players will know that we care about them." Boy, a long way from Orgeron. He'd invent new f-words just for practice. They will hear some select language when Bama comes to town.
