Good morning, all. Glad your grandson is okay, 2. Scary stuff. We also did some stupid things with fireworks when we were young, as Jamos said, so I guess we were just lucky. NALT, please catch a fish and see a bear. You'll sleep better! Another big earthquake hit California. Love the line about the "cows freaking out". My fishing buddy there said his parrot was going crazy. The parrot probably asked him for a beer.

Good Saturday morning. Went to bed early last night after very little sleep the night before. And now I'm up early. Grandson is doing well, and it looks like he's quickly on the mend. No one is more relieved than I am. NALT, sorry to hear about your sleeping woes. I'm guessing you're probably getting at least about 20 hrs of daylight up there. Get you some black-out or aluminum foil to put over your bedroom window(s). That may help.

Sorry I'm late checking in. We had quite a scare last night. We were shooting off fireworks and a rocket fell over and went sideways. One of the sparks hit my grandson in the eye. We were obviously mortified, but luckily, it hit the corner of his eye at the eyelid. It's a little swollen today, but his eyesight is fine. In fact, we just got back from watching Toy Story 4. I can tell you this, I don't ever want to go through anything like that again.
Wow, glad to hear everything will be ok. I heard on the news this week of a girl that had an M80 go off in her hand. I guess I was very lucky in the past years doing the fireworks, we did some very stupid things with them. I love to watch them but I have a lot more respect for them now that I am OLD.

Wow, that thing either was REALLY big or REALLY close to the camera... Since it was you claiming it I'll go with really big... Seriously, any idea what it weighed? I'm not good at estimating weights of trout. But I have a tape measure on my casting apron (in the boat) for measuring trout up to 20". This one was beyond the 20" and its tail hung off the end of the apron well beyond the 20" mark. About 24-25" prolly. That is a big trout and I'm like you about the weight, I think the trout and other northern fish are measured by their length rather than their weight as far as being a trophy, NICE fish.

Great pics Chech, looks like the weather did a big change after we left the park but it also provided some great pics and good fishing for you. I'm glad the fishing got better, you were working pretty hard to find them as we left you. Thanks again for the wonderful vacation in Yellowstone, as we watched some Yellowstone shows on the National Geographic channel last night we could relate to a lot of their show, thanks to our wonderful guides.

Morning Everyone, It's been so long since I've been on the computer I can hardly remember how to operate this thing. We are home from our vacation and does it ever feel good to sleep in our regular bed. We had a wonderful trip, it was a dream come true for the both of us. We were watching National Geographic on the TV last night and it brought back the days we spent with Chech and Dennis in the park during our trip. What a memory we have of the park thanks to those two, what a show they provided for us.I think Dennis and Chech know more about Yellowstone than the park Rangers, their knowledge was just amazing. I haven't had a chance to talk with Chech since we left Yellowstone but our trip out of the park on the East side was so beautiful that morning, Mrs. J was really busy with the camera. We traveled over 8,000 miles during those 6 weeks and we managed to see and experience what we have watched on TV for all these years, it was just awesome. I will admit though, it felt good to see Tuscaloosa as we arrived home.

Good morning folks. Of all the wild critter sightings that Chech is posting I believe I just caught a glimpse of a rare "Jamos" post. Was starting to think the legend of Jamos was just another "Big foot" legend or the likes... Hope you all have a great day. Safe travels tomorrow 2 and continued prayers for the family... No I'm still around and read a lot of the posts. We have been treated to a trip of a lifetime here at Yellowstone. Chech and Friend has treated us to the sights of Yellowstone as no other persons could possible do, it's been totally unreal. The biggest surprise has been the folks that we have met from Alabama. We met a tourist yesterday that lived on 15th street when the bad tornado hit Tuscaloosa. Also there are young ones working in the restaurants from Alabama, it's really a small world. I'm really glad to know that you and Mrs. J. are having a great time on this trip. Are y'all going to make it to OKC for any of the WCWS? Not likely, we are a long way from there and the weather is way too iffy to even if it were a short trip. We had thought about it when we first started planning the trip but we have to go to Douglas, Wyoming next.

Good morning, and Happy Hump Day. 2, the pics are cooking. Preparing pics for the forum is a challenge here with slow wifi. But I have several ready to go. "Patience, Grasshopper." You've been doing this long enough, that I have learned patience. Well, please give me a lesson. Unless I'm posting pics before 5am here, the internet is so busy (because of the guests on it?) that it takes forever to upload pics. Glad to do it for everyone. Almost time to head to the lake. WOOT! Have you checked the temp outside this morning?

We had a rainy afternoon and then more rain late last night. Looks like we might get side-skirted one more time before it's all said and done. I'm supposed to play golf at 9:30. We'll see. Congrats to the softball team and the baseball team last night. They both eked out one run wins. The softball team will be the #1 seed in the SEC tournament, as the regular season champs. The baseball team got one step closer to making the SEC tournament. They are one game ahead of SC and Ky for the final spot, with 7 more SEC games to play. Maybe not a lofty goal, but we've missed it the last 2 years. It would be good to have them make it this year. It was a great day for Bama baseball and softball, beat some Tigers. Speaking of rain, will it ever end? I just looked at the extended forecast and it doesn't look good for the beginning of our trip on Wednesday, nothing but rain and storms will be greeting us for the days ahead.

Great accomplishment for the ladies. No one expected them to pull off winning the SEC championship, or to even be this competitive this year. Montana Fouts is going to be a top notch pitcher for Alabama. She pretty much already is.
I'd love for them to complete the sweep tomorrow. Regardless, it's on to the SEC tournament, regionals and super-regionals. Roll Tide!!!
Yeah, I expect we'll rest the pitchers tomorrow. I sure wouldn't bet on a win ( especially after watching that WEIRD Kentucky Derby disqualification). Yeah, that was complete horse sh**. No pun intended. Indeed.

Morning All, In reading all of your latest posts, we have been blessed here in Ttown, no storms or rain the past few days. Per the golf course though, a little rain might needed within the next few days but storms are not needed. Mrs. J and I have been busy of late preparing for our "Dream Trip" that will begin next Wednesday. Last weekend we went to Fayetteville to visit our granddaughters who were a part of a fashion show that they insisted we be there. The youngest was part of the show and when Mrs. J and i saw what she was wearing for her role in the show, I asked her if she wanted to borrow my t-shirt. It was an experience and a lesson learned, I don't fit in real well with the "now generation" . We will be returning to Fayetteville next Wednesday for the graduation of the oldest of the two grandchildren there and we will head out on our trip westward the next day which will end with our return to Ttown at the end of June. We have no certain plans of where we are going except we hope to meet up with Chech in Yellowstone Park for a couple of days when we get to that area. The only other planned visit is to Little Falls, Minnesota to visit our son on our way back from the West. I will be playing in a golf tournament with him June 21st. We are also planning on visiting Busch Gardens as we go southward from there toward home. Mrs. J is all excited about the trip and I am excited for her as I still remember that day she was seriously injured on the farm and I thought I was about to lose her. The decision to sell the farm has changed our lives in many ways and praise God for providing this wonderful change for us. Take care everyone and I'll try to check in occasionally during the course fo the trip. RTR!!!

MONTANA FOUTS ... pitches a gem!
BAMA 3 FLORIDA 0
Fouts only pitched 3 innings and had base runners in each inning. A good save but calling it a gem is a stretch. From where this team started this year with no starting pitcher, I would call it a gem of a job that both pitchers did. Beating Florida at home is not easy and they did it twice yesterday. I wonder when is the last time they lost a double header at home except when Georgia swept them.
