Good morning folks.  Of all the wild critter sightings that Chech is posting I believe I just caught a glimpse of a rare "Jamos" post.  Was starting to think the legend of Jamos was just another "Big foot" legend or the likes...

Hope you all have a great day.  Safe travels tomorrow 2 and continued prayers for the family...
No I'm still around and read a lot of the posts. We have been treated to a trip of a lifetime here at Yellowstone. Chech and Friend has treated us to the sights of Yellowstone as no other persons could possible do, it's been totally unreal. The biggest surprise has been the folks that we have met from Alabama. We met a tourist yesterday that lived on 15th street when the bad tornado hit Tuscaloosa. Also there are young ones working in the restaurants from Alabama, it's really a small world.
I'm really glad to know that you and Mrs. J. are having a great time on this trip.  Are y'all going to make it to OKC for any of the WCWS?
Not likely, we are a long way from there and the weather is way too iffy to even if it were a short trip. We had thought about it when we first started planning the trip but we have to go to Douglas, Wyoming next.

Good morning, and Happy Hump Day.

2, the pics are cooking.  Preparing pics for the forum is a challenge here with slow wifi.  But I have several ready to go.  "Patience, Grasshopper."

 Kiss

You've been doing this long enough, that I have learned patience.
Laughing

Well, please give me a lesson.  Unless I'm posting pics before 5am here, the internet is so busy (because of the guests on it?) that it takes forever to upload pics.

Glad to do it for everyone.   Kiss

Almost time to head to the lake.  WOOT!
Have you checked the temp outside this morning?

We had a rainy afternoon and then more rain late last night. Looks like we might get side-skirted one more time before it's all said and done. I'm supposed to play golf at 9:30. We'll see.

Congrats to the softball team and the baseball team last night. They both eked out one run wins. The softball team will be the #1 seed in the SEC tournament, as the regular season champs.

The baseball team got one step closer to making the SEC tournament. They are one game ahead of SC and Ky for the final spot, with 7 more SEC games to play. Maybe not a lofty goal, but we've missed it the last 2 years. It would be good to have them make it this year.

It was a great day for Bama baseball and softball, beat some Tigers.  Applause E-Cred
Speaking of rain, will it ever end? I just looked at the extended forecast and it doesn't look good for the beginning of our trip on Wednesday, nothing but rain and storms will be greeting us for the days ahead. Angry

Great accomplishment for the ladies. No one expected them to pull off winning the SEC championship, or to even be this competitive this year. Montana Fouts is going to be a top notch pitcher for Alabama. She pretty much already is.

I'd love for them to complete the sweep tomorrow. Regardless, it's on to the SEC tournament, regionals and super-regionals. Roll Tide!!!

Yeah, I expect we'll rest the pitchers tomorrow.
I sure wouldn't bet on a win (especially after watching that WEIRD Kentucky Derby disqualification).

Yeah, that was complete horse sh**. No pun intended.

 Laughing Indeed.

Morning All,

In reading all of your latest posts, we have been blessed here in Ttown, no storms or rain the past few days. Per the golf course though, a little rain might needed within the next few days but storms are not needed.

Mrs. J and I have been busy of late preparing for our "Dream Trip" that will begin next Wednesday. Last weekend we went to Fayetteville to visit our granddaughters who were a part of a fashion show that they insisted we be there. The youngest was part of the show and when Mrs. J and i saw what she was wearing for her role in the show, I asked her if she wanted to borrow my t-shirt. It was an experience and a lesson learned, I don't fit in real well with the "now generation"  Shocked.

We will be returning to Fayetteville next Wednesday for the graduation of the oldest of the two grandchildren there and we will head out on our trip westward the next day which will end with our return to Ttown at the end of June. We have no certain plans of where we are going except we hope to meet up with Chech in Yellowstone Park for a couple of days when we get to that area. The only other planned visit is to Little Falls, Minnesota to visit our son on our way back from the West. I will be playing in a golf tournament with him June 21st. We are also planning on visiting Busch Gardens as we go southward from there toward home.

Mrs. J is all excited about the trip and I am excited for her as I still remember that day she was seriously injured on the farm and I thought I was about to lose her. The decision to sell the farm has changed our lives in many ways and praise God for providing this wonderful change for us.

Take care everyone and I'll try to check in occasionally during the course fo the trip. RTR!!!

Apparently, the Bears don't pay him enough.

Some how I get the feeling there is more to this than $1.

MONTANA FOUTS ... pitches a gem!

BAMA 3   FLORIDA 0

Fouts only pitched 3 innings and had base runners in each inning. A good save but calling it a gem is a stretch.

From where this team started this year with no starting pitcher, I would call it a gem of a job that both pitchers did. Beating Florida at home is not easy and they did it twice yesterday. I wonder when is the last time they lost a double header at home except when Georgia swept them.

Good morning folks.  I'm looking forward to this weekend, well, except for the rain/thunderstorms... I am hoping to arrive in Tuscaloosa early as well. I would love to go to the softball game since that game time has been moved to 11:00 a.m. and then head over to watch my cousin Tua throw the rock... I'm not sure if I'll get to see the SB game but we'll see I suppose.

The problem will be finding a parking spot at Bryant Denny. They are predicting a big crowd but they have been wrong before.

Good morning.  Coffee
Pretty scary to awaken to a loud noise like that, 2.  You might need to have a talk with the folks at the club about night golf.  No need for that after bedtime!
Have fun today playing golfball.  Not sure what I'm going to do today, but there could be fish involved.
Be good to see everybody this weekend.
Yep. Looking forward to it. Window of weather for Saturday looks good, if it will just hold
Don't start crawfishing on us.  We're depending on your close ties with Chaac.
 Tinfoil Hat
He does like to tie me up and rain on me.  Lips Sealed

Come to think of it, maybe Jamos can help with the weather.  Any word from him about plans for Friday??

Howdy everyone!! We have beautiful weather so far. Right now the forecast is 30% chance of rain Saturday and about 80 degrees. The long range says there will be a good chance of severe storms on Sunday, hopefully it doesn't move in early.

They are predicting a big crowd for Saturday so parking might be scarce. Kevin, our son, and two of his friends are arriving within the hour. I bet they haven't seen any of these temps in Hew Hampshire of late. We will get to the parking spot between 8-9 and eat our breakfast and lunch there.

I've been looking for crawfish but haven't had much luck, all the eateries from last year have closed. Maybe we can do some searching tomorrow with the boys and come up with something for Friday night. We are going to the softball game tonight so if you need anything shoot me a text.
11  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Bama vs UF baseball: and Bama vs MSU softball: on: March 30, 2019, 07:48:57 AM
The ladies struggled with their bats last night but did manage the hard earned win. I am proud of them for hanging tough to get the win and I could see some maturity in the late innings to make this happen.

The sad news last night was hearing the news of our ace pitcher Montana Fouts, she will be out indefinitely with an injury that hasn't been disclosed by Murphy. She was seen during the game in the dugout and wasn't showing any bandages or limps that would reflect what her problem might be. I've searched the internet in hopes of finding what the problem might be but no luck.

This is not good for the team as the pitching staff isn't that solid behind Fouts. I think there is a total of five pitchers on the team but none compare to Fouts. Cornell pitched last night and did a pretty good job by showing some resiliency with her number of pitches for the game, she had 131 pitches and had no walks. Murphy complimented her after the game saying she has become a stronger pitcher since transferring to Bama and I hope he was referencing to the fact she could throw some today if needed. The big issue though is getting their bats cranked up again, this is a must with the pitching staff we have. We will have to score more runs than what we did last night to win in the SEC but hopefully Fouts will be back soon and the pitching staff gets better as the season goes forward. This team has a lot of talent on it and I think they will get better as the season progresses, maturity is something that is gained by experience and not age, the real season is just beginning.
12  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Softball: Bama vs Texas A&M on: March 24, 2019, 08:33:24 AM
This team has a lot of potential but all winning streaks come to an end. I guess what surprises me most about this streak is a big part of the wins have been road games. Fouts has done a good job so far pitching and Cornell has really stepped up to be the second starter. The team will find out real soon that the SEC is a tough place to get wins but I think they are ready for the challenge. If they can keep their bats working they can make a lot of noise in conference play, the pitching in the SEC is much tougher than what they have seen so far.
13  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: A Day on: March 24, 2019, 08:19:25 AM
Who all is planning on coming?

Me and my clan will be there.

Great!!

We going to meet at our usual location, J?
Yes that is the plan, we have some good shade there. I'm going to get there mid morning to try and get the spot under the trees. We won't be working the game so we will have more time to enjoy everyone. Are you coming in on that Friday?
14  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: A Day on: March 23, 2019, 08:50:11 AM
I won't be there but I will be cheering for both sides. RTR!

We all wish you could be there.
15  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Softball: Bama vs Texas A&M on: March 23, 2019, 08:46:28 AM
Bama returns to SEC play with a series opening run rule victory in College Station tonight.

Bama 13 TAM 3

Lee it's been a great run for them. Mrs. J and I are hoping they can make it to Oklahoma City this year, we will be out West vacationing and are making plans to be there if they can make it.
