Dang, CRS is back! I thought y'all had closed shop for good - glad to see it back!

Frankly, I'm disgusted so far with this team. Don't get me wrong - will always pull for and support the team. My observation thus far is this team is soft as a pillow. I like to see guys with piss and vinegar running through their veins, especially up front. There is so much I can say, but I want to let things play out a little more. Also would like to see the old fire back with CNS.

Is this going to make the OL better? I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the move, but Milroe was running for his life against UT.

Like you, I told my brother during the game that this is a hard team to watch. Discombobulated is a good word - I can't for the life of me figure out an offensive plan for this bunch. As a whole they have definitely regressed. Even in the win against Miss St, I thought they weren't clicking on all cylinders. Defensively, they are hot and cold and extremely undisciplined. They make crucial mistakes at the worst possible times. I don't like to call for firings for coaches usually - you're talking about livelihoods for men and their families. However, it is most apparent that O'Brien and Golding are not the men who should be in charge as coordinators. Probably need to look at several position coaches as well, particularly OL and DB. Very disheartening to see a team with this much talent flop around and play like they do.

For the goal line play, if the ball carrier doesn't have feet inbounds when the ball crosses the goal, then it has to be the judgment of the official if he crossed the goal inbounds or not. Keep in mind there is the goal line extended - if a ball carrier has feet inbounds but has possession of the ball past the goal line, even if the ball is outside the playing field it is a TD.

On the punt, touching by the receiving team makes the ball live beyond the expanded neutral zone. So, let's say the punt hits a member of the receiving team 5 yds past the LOS - it is live. However, if it hits the R team at the LOS, then the touching is ignored.

Extremely frustrating team to watch, considering the amount of talent available. I continue to marvel how Golding keeps his job - that was as poor of a performance and calling of a game as I've seen. You're telling me that with the OLBs Bama has that different stunts couldn't be used to free someone up? Also, the deep balls from UT were mismatches with safeties - was this a case of smart play calling by UT with creating matchups or Bama not making adjustments in the back to counter? I'm sure Bama was in nickel quite a bit - could going to more of a dime package heve helped?
Also, the penalties have become laughingly ridiculous. Sure,  there were questionable calls and non-calls, but the great majority were much deserved. Extremely undisciplined. Great teams don't let calls affect games - they overcome them. Save the whining about officials to the Aubs - they're experts. Bama need to get things turned around or they will lose to Miss St and Ole Miss.

Great job. Milroe has the look of a good QB - tough spot to come in. He gives a dimension that Bryce doesn't with his running ability. His throws weren't awful except for the deep ball that should have been a TD. I feel like the play calls were tampered down when he came in. IMO let him run the offense. I think he can play and Bama still win against A&M. Bryce needs to be back for UT.

Great job as always. I have major concerns about the offensive play calling. When you compare how BoB does with Sark on the other sideline, the difference is astounding. Might not be a fair comparison but it is true.

On the other hand, I think one aspect of the game that hasn't been discussed much is Gary Patterson being on the UT sideline. After leaving TCU, Sark hires him as a defensive consultant. He probably spent months working on the Bama plan and it showed - dude can flat out coach. Doubt Bama will see any more exotic plan and package unless they play UGA later.

Translation: they offered a buyout for less money and he told them to stick it. They can’t afford $18 million after Gus’ payout, so they’re stuck.

Actually, what it means is that Harsin knows he has Aubarn by the short hairs and the only way he leaves is if they give him the full buy out. I don't believe for a second he had an affair - think of the timing (right before a new president was named). I think they threw that in to see if it would stick, and when it didn't have traction, they started interviewing players and coaches to try and get dirt. They have made the decision to get rid of him - they are trying to save a few bucks.

I thought this would be an uphill battle to begin with, and when Williams went down, there went any deep threat Bama had. Asking a freshman or inexperienced receiver to step up in a game like this is a lot to ask. Frankly, the loss of Billingsley and Valai is addition by subtraction. I have the feeling that Billingley was a cancer in the locker room. Our DBs have not played the ball well this year - very poor technique. IMO, a change would be warranted with the OL coach and probably OC. We shall see. As far as the team, the fact they made it to Indy is remarkable. Very young and inexperienced, and with the injuries they were held together with baling wire and duct tape. Hopefully next year will be better injury wise - if it is, that team could be special.
