Why would a coach agree to allow his team to wear something like that?  Did you notice the shoes?

At this point in the season rankings mean nothing.  However, I am glad it happened.  It shows Bama two things.  One some people don't believe they are the best team in the SEC.  Second it shows they don't even believe they are the best team in the West.  With this being said now Bama can see they must go out and prove every week they deserve to be where they are no matter who the opponent.  The LSU/Bama game with take care of itself.   The players must learn that they will not be given a championship just because they are Alabama, they have to earn it each week.

I think it could be a combination of things.  There may have been a lack of focus because of who they were playing.  Also, getting lazy, stepping with the proper foot, thinking they would just go out and beat them easily.  If you watch carefully you will see #65 look like he just lays on the ground on the backside cut off block.  What he should be doing is taking a step with his right foot forcing the guy to cross his face.  I think they may have also thought TR would be past the LOS in no time and didn't really have to sustain their blocks.  

If I had been TR Sat, I would have jumped the OL butts that day.  Told them I am tired of being hit as soon as I get the ball, now get your A**ES in gear and lets go.

There may still be issues with his leg, but the bigger issue to me is contact before he even makes the LOS.

My question is why everyone is putting BJ at right guard when it seems to me most problems were with the left guard?

I really can't say if they ran good routes or not.  I don't know what they are taught.  Maybe the QB feels more comfortable with MM and DW.  Maybe they did want to work more with the wideouts instead of the backs.  Also, this was a basic O game plan like the D was.  There are two thoughts here for your next opponent.  One you give them very little to work see so they are not sure what is coming.  Two, you show a lot where they have to decide what to concentrate on. in their game plan.

I think he looks a little stronger this year.

I think he may be better at LG. 

One thing, I would have like to have seen, they may have done it, is playing some backups with some starters and see how they fit.  They may have done this more than was noticable on TV.

The good thing is you have players to push players.   One is not getting it done, you have another.

I think the Ol were not moving their feet very well and sustaining there blocks.  There was one running play where 3 linemen were standing around while the back was being hit in the backfield.

Yes, K.S. did have a top 10 D last year, but look at the competition they play.  I will agree that RN can play, but he was aided by the fact the the OL missed blocks on him, especially #65.  He got lazy and did not move his feet at times.  It concerns me that Bama could not run at will when they are playing a team who would not win a game in the SEC.
