TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- With 183 yards rushing Saturday, Alabama's Trent Richardson improved his average to 130.29 yards per game.

That ranks fourth in the nation. Oregon's LaMichael James leads with 170.4 yards per game. He did not play Saturday in a victory over Arizona State because of an elbow injury.

Richardson scored four touchdowns Saturday, giving him 16 for the season. He ranks third in the nation individually in scoring with an average of 13.71 points per game. Wisconsin's Montee Ball leads the nation with 17 points per game. He has scored 17 touchdowns in six games.

Richardson will try for his seventh consecutive 100-yard game Saturday when Alabama plays host to Tennessee. That would break the school record that Shaun Alexander set in 1999.
