Title: Ten running backs to watch this college season
Post by: Terrie1959 on March 15, 2011, 12:57:22 PM
It doesn’t take a math major to understand that a good running back can make all the difference to a football team. This season’s crop of running backs have several difference-makers and several who could make a run at the Heisman Trophy.

I'm thinking they aren't in any order - because TR would be number 1 in my opinion :)
(and I acknowledge that I do indeed have bias)

Buzz: As a freshman, Lattimore took the SEC by storm, rushing for 1,164 yards and 17 touchdowns helping to lead the Gamecocks to its first East Division crown. He became the school’s freshman record-holder in rushing yards and barring injury, should be a Heisman Trophy candidate this year.

Someone is chugging Cock Koolaid.

Buzz: As the No. 2 back behind Mark Ingram, Richardson spent the past two seasons in the shadow of the former Heisman Trophy winner, now, he becomes the go-to guy in the offense. Last year, he rushed for 700 yards and six touchdowns with an impressive 6.3 yards per carry for the Tide.

If TR can get 6.5 or better this year with no injuries he will be in New York. RTR!
