Title: Next year could be interesting
Post by: hscoach on January 06, 2023, 04:53:10 PM
If my count is correct, the defense is losing Young, Ricks, To'oto'o, Branch, Battle, Anderson, and Moody (5th year Sr.).  There could be others because of their eligibility running out.  That is at least 7 defensive starters.  On offense, the main losses will be Young, Gibbs, Latu(?), and possibly others because of eligibility running out.  I expect Simpson to win the QB job, but who knows.  I am going to try and go to the A Day game this year.

Yep, losing a lot but a lot coming in. Will be a young team overall.

I Would love to go to the A Day game too, but as of right now, still don't have the stamina for all the standing and walking.

SOOOO much talent.  Hope they can put it together into a dominant team.

WE NEED A QB.  I haven't seen Simpson (who has?), but Milroe doesn't seem like the answer.   :dunno:

I think you are right. We will be young but strong I presume we have talent that only needs training by the right coaches. RTR!

The reason I think Simpson wins the job is because I saw him throw one pass in a game early.  The ball was thrown on time before the receiver made his cut and it was on the money.  At that point, the announcers said this kid can spin it, they were at practice that week and said the kid has all the throws and he is the son of a coach.

I would think having all the throws would be a great thing. RTR!

I am hoping to get back to the A-Day game this year too.  It mostly depends on whether I am out in Hawaii working at the time or not.  I think I am leaving in early March to go out there so that should get me back home in time.

NALT, I'll go to Hawaii for you and make sure you can get to the A-Day game.  After about a quarter and a half, it's like watching paint dry.

Impressive resume. I guess we'll see this spring if it translates to the field.
