Bad mental error by Bryce on that int in the endzone

Looking good until the bad throw by Bryce. He had the receiver but the throw was off target.

Bama looks like they are playing to not lose.  I'd like to see the O get more aggressive.  With O'Brien calling plays I don't expect that to happen.

Our punter maybe the MVP for Bama today...

5? straight incompletions after the INT.  C'mon, Bryce!

This team should have been an all-time great. Instead, they’ve played as poorly or worse than last year’s rebuilding team. Feels like we’ve lost the spark that Saban was able to keep lit for so long.

Why does it seem like LSU is double-teaming all 11 Bama players? >:(  Play calling is not good IMO.  OLine blocking is not good IMO.  We look like a high school team out there... >:(

Wide receivers aren't getting open all season. Ricky could cover our receivers.

Yeah MD, our receivers have had trouble getting open all year but few of our opponent's WR's have had that much trouble...

This may be heresy but I was worried when Coach was so optimistic pre-season.

That doesn't bother me.  Saban knows the talent that he has.  Getting them to play as a team has been an obviously HUGE challenge though...

He should have been confident. We had 8 or 9 returning starters on defense, a returning QB who won the Heisman, we had highly recruited receivers, Jamir Gibbs from the portal, highly rated O-Line recruits, and good recruiting classes. We are also stuck with poor coaching at the DC, OC, O-Line, & Receivers.

Like I said earlier, this team should have been one of the best ever. Bryce’s shoulder is a big deal, but apart from that this team is sloppy and lacks the will to dominate that characterized the teams of the last decade.

Some of those teams played hard fought games at LSU, but the problems we’re seeing have defined the last two seasons.

Our teams were better when the coordinators were young and hungry. Saban’s washed out, burned out friends are not getting it done.

I'm so sick of these sloppy, ugly, depressing games by the Tide. Bill O'Brien is an old fashioned, uncreative pro football coach who should not be coaching at Bama. Pete Golding and his defense look lost and always out of position. He is not the answer to our defensive needs, he's the problem. Is the wide receiver coach part of the problem or do our wide receiver's just stink?

I agree.  We need a  young, hungry OC and a DC that teaches the DBs to play tighter man-to-man coverage.  How good would this team be with Kiffin as OC and Kirby as DC?

We're not that bad off, but this crappy play calling by the OC & the DC has to end. They are BOTH in over their heads. Need to look at the receivers coach, too.

Why do our DBs pull down the WR on every deep ball while the reverse never happens when we throw deep?

Why do opponents' defenses live in our backfield?

Why does a defense with as much as ours not live in opponents' backfields?

Why do our players look like they're just going through the motions? Where is the fire? Where is the passion? Where is the fun?

Last year I could write it off as an inexperienced team in a rebuilding year. This team is loaded. It shouldn't be this way.

Good questions. Makes me wonder if there is a cancer on the team or maybe on the coaching staff?

Cancer?  You mean like incompetent OC and DC?  Coach Saban used to be directly involved in coaching the DBs but I wonder if he still does much hands-on working with them.  They, IMO, play too soft and then have to react to keep from getting burned. That causes the penalties we see too often. It really bothers me to see our LBs and DBs go in for a kill shot to try and knock down a ball carrier rather than wrapping him up and tackling him. Our DBs seem to NEVER look for the ball in the air to try and either intercept it or just knock it away.  Seems like it is just easier to tackle the WR before the ball gets there rather than giving up a TD pass play..
The team seems to have a severe lack of intensity as Preacher said in the Daily thread.  I'm not sure who our "Intensity" coach is but perhaps he needs to be put on the road right along with the OC and DC...

But too though, I also give credit where it may be due.  I think recruiting has gotten much better for other teams in recent years which has made it tougher for Saban and the Crimson Tide. Not sure if there are just that many more players that are 5*+ quality or what but with the talent that we supposedly have, there is no way that we should have lost this year at all.

NALY you are dead on. We have no intensity like we use to. People use to fear Alabama and no we are nothing but jokes to people. Either saban has gotten to old OR the OC and DC has a picture of saban and another woman in bed. RTR!
