We better get ready for Mississippi State.  We need to win out to have a shot at the NATTY but we ain't gonna win many with 17 penalties.

This is a game Bama could have won even though we played poorly in many ways.

Our D look unprepared and confused for much of the game.  And they just got beat on a lot of plays. I don't see how Golding can survive this performance.

Stupid penalties have been a problem all season.  This is on both players and coaches.  Both groups need to be held accountable.

This ref crew should be banned from ever again working an SEC game.  Really, gotta wonder if they were paid off.  Whatever, questionable calls & non-calls affected the game.

Poor clock management at the end of the game.  This is on Saban. We should have run two plays (prior to the FG attempt) to take time off the clock (or force Tenn to use a time-out), and moved the ball to the middle of the field.  I get it we were trying to get closer, but sometimes you gotta trust your kicker to have a little extra length.

Bummer of a night....

We're playing like a very poorly coached team.

There is no excuse for 17 penalties. This has been an issue all season. Refs sucked in a major way. That combination alone killed us. The absolutely abysmal way this game ended up and pi** poor defense much of the game, just leaves me shaking my head about the coaching. Hopefully, better days are ahead, but this was a crushing defeat.

I agree, 2. I can't recall a Bama defense giving up 52 points. Coach Bryant said defenses win games. His 1961 team gave up 25 points total for the year. Surely coaches are to blame. Either that or the players just can't get it. Or both.  :(

Bright side: We could have easily lost to A&M.  Both UT and A&M games were won by fluky finishes.  Reichard's field goal was hit well, but was just barely right.  Their field goal was tipped, but still cleared the cross bar.  That's football.

Congrats to those puke-orange snitches.  Got to say, at least UT is back to SEC standard.  The rivalry returns!

How Pete Golding keeps his job is like the mystery of Pyramids and Spinx. The lack of any real pass rush and the disastrous performance of the DB's is ALL on Golding and Nick Saban. I think there has to be major changes in the offseason with areas like the O-Line coaching, Offensive Coordinator and the Defensive Coordinator, & the receivers coach. How do you explain so many highly recruited WR's being so average or worse? Score 49 points and LOSE! What is this the Mountain West or the Big-12? Bad, ugly games against Texas & Texas A&M, and now this horror show at UT. Next is pass happy Mississippi States with these awful DB's. Hope we can score 60 and MAYBE win.
