Worst Tennessee game I ever attended was 52 years ago at Legion Field.  My date forgot her ticket (cost me a bundle to buy one), their team beat the crap out of us, and even their band outdid ours. 

So I'm enjoying this 14-game winning streak. 

Only bummer is that a friend of mine, who was an avid UT fan, died this past week.  He'd joked that he wanted to live long enough to see UT win against us.  RIP, buddy.  Roll Tide.

My first AL-TN game was '93.  I sat in the student section with my older sister - what a culture shock for a sheltered 13-yo boy.   Alabama was on a 7-game winning streak in the series, and it ended in a 17-17 tie thanks to David Palmer replacing Barker at QB for much of the 2nd half.  I saw us get the brakes beat off us in '95 and '97 in Bham as well.  My freshman year was the first time they came to Tuscaloosa in a long time.   I had an apartment on 11th Ave, where they let the visiting band park.   I woke up to the Tennessee band warming up in our complex parking lot.   "Rocky Top" at 8:30 in the morning.   To continue the salt in the wound, I couldn't find my wallet which had my student ID.   I managed to get a buddy's of mine (he was in the band and didn't need his ID) ID confiscated in the attempt to get into the student section.  So I didn't see the '99 whipping.   However, I saw the '01 and '03 losses at home.   The only time I've witnessed Alabama beat TN in person was the '09 "Rocky Flop."

I've only been to one UT-Bama game. In 1989, I was working for a manufacturing company in Montgomery. We had a vendor who rented a limo, with a fully stocked bar, and hauled all of us managers to B'ham for the game.

Siran Stacy ran wild that day and Bama won 47-30.

One of the best football experiences I've ever had.

Growing up in Birmingham during the Bear Bryant years the UT game was the biggest game of the year. More so than Auburn. I have been to quite a few UT games. The 1987 game stands out. We were a big underdog. On the first snap of the game Jeff Dunn hit Pierre Goode for an 90 yard TD pass and we beat the Vols 41-22.

During my College days we played Tennessee in Birmingham.

My soph. year 1961 we beat UT 34-3

My Sr. year in 1963 we Beat them 35-0
