Title: Intriguing Games on Saturday October 2nd
Post by: Marshal Dillon on September 27, 2021, 09:29:09 AM
Interesting match-ups this coming Saturday. Includes Tide/Ole Miss, Auburn/LSU, UGA/Arkansas, Kentucky/Florida, A&M/Miss State. None of these games are predictable and offer some chances for major upsets.

Auburn/LSU is a total mystery. Both teams are mysteries and are a confusing mess. Plus, Barn has a huge QB controversy. Gus Malzahn lives on at Auburn.

UGA/Arkansas offers a possible major upset. I think UGA wins but if Arkansas gets their running game going, then lookout. I think the UGA D stops the Hawg running game. Hawgs are too one dimensional.

The BC/Clemson game is another interesting game. BC is undefeated and energized, Clemson seems flat and defeated. It's at home for Clemson which should help, unless they boo the Clemson QB. Clemson has scored 38 points in 3 games, two were losses. They had 49 points against mighty South Carolina State.

I'm surprised ESPN put that game in the 11am time slot.

Well the only one I really think about now is Bama vs Ole Miss. This will be a scary game. RTR!

Good point. Maybe they wanted no competition from Tide/Ole Miss game @ 2:30.

#7 Cincinatti vs #9 Notre Dame is another interesting game. Wouldn't mind seeing Bearcats beat Irish. Notre Dame just doesn't seem real this year.

These are 2 teams I can not figure out. It is as if they want to win in the last few minutes or maybe 4th Qtr of a game. RTR!

I don't believe they're allowed to compete with the CBS slot time anyway, except for on the SECN, since it's technically "regional."

But I figured they'd put it in primetime.

Strange but interesting comments from former Auburn coach.

Quote
The beginning of the end for Bryan Harsin has already begun.

That’s quite a statement, considering the man has coached a grand total of four games at Auburn.

Quote
“You hired a weak man with no backbone who is gonna get run over by all these boosters,” he said.

It’s already happened, he explained.

Last week about four people knew Tony Franklin had a podcast.   After the al.com article, a couple hundred thousand do.   Throw poop at the wall is what talk show hosts do.

I thought he had dropped off the face of the earth since he seemed to have disappeared. Not exactly a reliable source.

Iowa/Maryland is another interesting game. Iowa is #5 in nation, but several "experts" are picking Maryland. They have Tulia as their QB. Not sure if Maryland is the real deal. I picked Iowa but I would love see Terrapins to win. This is the Friday night game SUPERCOACH mentioned.
