#15 Seed Oral Roberts beat #2 Seed Ohio State yesterday. Ohio State struggled their last 7-8 games losing some of them. The Tide finished strong and won SEC Tourney. No real comparison between Tide & OSU. Not overlooking Iona, but Tide has more depth & talent, just can’t be complacent.

The LSU cheaters beat St. Bonny, putting the SEC at 3-1 so far. Bipolar Tennessee shipped the bed yesterday, but that's ok. The Big 10 is not what everybody thought and the ACC isn't doing well either. Even FSU was pushed by UNCG today. Kansas had to rally to beat Eastern Washington. This is anybody's tournament.

Iona is not beating us, Alabama is beating Alabama, especially Petty. 1/7 FG, 4 turnovers (at least), 2/4 FT.

Great win despite very sloppy play. I don' know what's going on with Petty but his confidence is shot. JQ stepped up in the last few minutes and we finally started getting steals that put it away. Congrats on a hard fought win. Iona played very well and blocked a bunch of shots. That's what you would expect from a Pitino coached team.

Having said that, we will have to play a lot better to beat the winner of Maryland-UConn.

I picked Maryland to play us in the 2nd round. Something is bad wrong with Petty. I have no answer for it, he has to deal with it. Juwan Gary injected energy and good play around the basket when he came in. Petty may need to not start the next game, he is hurting the team with his erratic playing.

2 and MD have pretty well summed it up.  Iona is a well coached team and they play hard.  Games get harder & harder from here on.  Bama's gotta kick it up a notch or they will be headed back to T-town.  I hope Petty can come out of it.  We need him on his game.

Maybe Petty is injured some way and we don't know. If he is still he should sit and not hurt the team. RTR!

We will be playing Maryland on Sunday after they beat UCONN. Maryland is now 17-13 with a NET of 35.

Ugly win but this tournament is about surviving and advancing. Solid defense won this game. This game would not have been close if we hit our free throws.

I am not as down on Petty as everyone else. He is not shooting the ball as well as we know he can but he is a leader and helps the team in many ways. His stat line is not bad. 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal and 1 assist. He played 31 minutes with only H Jones playing more. He had 4 turnovers and shot a low percentage but he should not be benched, if anything reduce his minutes some.

He still played good D. We need him for that if for no other reason. Maybe something will click on the shootaround and he will find his form.

Petty plays hard and has turned into a good defender. He has been either hot or cold offensively his whole career. Shackelford needs to start hitting his three's as well.

Love his energy on defense.

Well I have to say I am just happy to see our team as far along as we are in the tourney. It has been a long time. Who coaches Maryland? I have forgotten. RTR!
