1. Not good news. Gus is a below avg coach and I was happy for him to stay at the Barn for as long as possible. 2. Can't believe Barn is paying a buyout of this size. Gus gets 50% of it in mid Jan so he is going to have a big tax problem in 2021. The big winner here may be the US Treasury. 3. Hope Sark doesn't see Barn as an attractive job. That would be awful. 4. Harsin certainly isn't a homerun hire, but they likely didn't want to spend homerun money based on the candidates mentioned. Harsin is a good coach, but it remains to be seen if he can assemble a quality staff that can recruit the southeast. That's based both on the budget Auburn gives him and the amount of trust any established asst coach from the SE would put in his tenure. Title: Re: Gus out at the Barn!
