Looks like if Bama can't hit the 3, there is no backup plan.

Stanford D looks solid, Tide D is non-existent. Can not hit the 3 at all. Tide 6/23 on 3 pointers. Overall, shooting 21/55 or 38%. Stanford 39 rebounds, Tide 26. 77-56 Stanford right now, 5 minutes left. I’m checking out, can’t stand watching such a bad game by Bama.

I thought there was a lot of chatter to build up this team this year. We are not as good as it sounds. RTR!

I may be wrong but I think Stanford is a really good team. We will find out today when they play North Carolina.

Stanford returned 4 starters and 74% of their scoring from last year's team that was 20-12 and a lock to make the NCAA Tournament before the season was canceled. They added a super star freshman who killed us last night. He was the #6 overall recruit and #2 small forward in last year's class. During the summer he increased his stock and is now projected to be the #5 selection in next year's NBA draft.

We will find out a lot about our team over the next two days. We play UNLV at 8:30 tonight on ESPN2. Tomorrow night we will play either Providence or Davidson. I will be happy if we can go 2-1 in this Tournament. 

I agree with your observation about Stanford. They won 20 games and had several starters return. Plus, they have a solid 3rd year coach (former Kansas player under Roy Williams and was asst. coach 8 years with Williams at UNC). I’ll be watching them to see how far they go this year.

Stanford is neck and neck with North Carolina now with about a minute to play.   They're looking like a potential Sweet 16 caliber team, so maybe the early year loss against a good opponent won't hurt us too much

Tide playing UNLV. Both teams playing about equal in first half. Tide 8/21 3 pointers for 38% which is good. Tied at 38 at half.

Actually it helps if we get beat by a good team instead of a bad or average team.

Bama beats UNLV 86-74. Petty had 22, Quinerly 19, Jones 16, Shackleford 13 and Primo 11. Bama pulled away with a solid 2nd half.

Well done. A good win I hope. I don't know much about UNLV. RTR!

We play our third and final game (3 games in 3 days) tonight at 6:00CT against Providence. The game is on ESPN2.

We beat a solid Providence team 86-71. Good D and excellent 3 point shooting.

Well I noticed the Stanford team we lost to was barely beaten by UNC so they must not be to bad. RTR!

Tide goes 2-1 in Maui/Ashville tourney.  Good going guys!
