My pick for Team-of-the-Week is the USC Trojans. They successfully avoided their first loss of the season on Saturday by not having to play Alabama.

The line is BYU -1.

I am picking Navy at home.

Well, that was disappointing.  :(

It was pretty obvious that BYU spent a lot more time being able to prepare than Navy. Navy was completely outmatched.

If you missed it, BYU won 55-3.

Wow, sounds like the midshipmen was in class instead of on the practice field. RTR!

They definitely got taken to school by BYU.

I based my pick on their 11-2 record last year. In the pre-game they talked about how much they lost off last years team and they did not allow any contact in their fall practices leading up to the first game. The QB from Buckhorn has a long way to go.

BTW, I am a mod and was going to delete it until posted about it.

There were a few decent games yesterday. Duke hung with Notre Dame until late in the game before falling 27-13. GA Tech beat Florida St 16-13. GT was picked to finish last in the ACC. FSU has fallen and can't get up. South Alabama had Tulane beat but let them come back to win 27-23.

A few upsets all involving the Big 12.

Coastal Carolina beat Kansas 38-24. Kansas has to be the worst Power 5 team. Les Miles has a lot of work to do.

Arkansas St beat Kansas St 35-31. Bad day for the state of Kansas.

La-Lafayette beat #23 Iowa St 31-14. Former Tide Assistant Billy Napier is the La-La coach.

According to my count 6 games were either canceled or postponed.

Some really fascinating games during weekend. Tech/FSU didn’t surprise me. FSU is still a dumpster fire. La-Lafayette really surprised me.

The Arky St - KSt game was the most entertaining game I saw this weekend.
