Title: "ACC reworks football schedules for 2020; Notre Dame eligible for title game"
Post by: Chechem on July 30, 2020, 04:53:11 AM
https://www.al.com/sports/2020/07/acc-will-play-101-football-schedule-in-2020-notre-dame-will-be-eligible-for-title-game.html

The ACC is also doing away with the division format for 2020, with the top two teams advancing to the conference championship game. The ACC title game would take place either Dec. 12 or 19 in Charlotte.

The non-conference games must be played in the home state of the ACC team. This presumably protects ACC vs. SEC rivalries such as Georgia-Georgia Tech, Florida-Florida State, Louisville-Kentucky and South Carolina-Clemson...

The full ACC schedule will be released at a later date. Among those non-conference games likely to be canceled by Wednesday’s announcement are North Carolina-Auburn, Virginia-Georgia and West Virginia-Florida State, all of which were expected to take place during the first or second weekend of September in Atlanta...

I'm afraid you may be correct, Chech.  But I haven't given up hope.

No, there's still a chance.  But it's looking worse every day.

I just heard that about 50 Ole Miss students tested positive already, and they aren't even back for classes yet.  And a bunch of people at the local Veteran's Home here tested positive, and 2 died this week.  The hospitals here are already crowded.  The hospitals may decide whether students can have on-campus classes this semester.

So that's where they have been getting their recruits... It is all starting to make sense now... :lol3:

They'd win more games if they did.

Keep the faith, there will be college football. Too much money involved. Players have to have great discipline and not to go to strip clubs to eat chicken wings.
